People you wish would go away

As this is the curmudgeonly discussion board, let's nominate some irritating sorts of gadgies.

One of my problems is I seem to attract people who witter on and on for hours and hours without pausing for breath (usually about themselves and god is that always a tedious subject).

It must be something in my body language, making me look fascinated when secretly I'm feeling practically suicidal with boredom.

Why would you ever get into that position?

I suggest you have far too much time on your hands if you listen to them for hours and hours.

Actually I've excommunicated two of my friends who do it. Can't stand it any more.

As for attracting people who witter on for hours... according to a leadership course I've been on, the greatest sin is to let them.
