Off to Tranny on loan? Personally think it will be a good move all round if it's right.

Good move for him if it happens.

My only issue with it is, what if Paynter gets injured? He's the closest we have to a target man. We're not exactly safe yet either.

Just stick a recall clause in it, gets him proper game time for his fitness.

Win win all round really.

I'd say he's the furthest we've got from a target man he can't play with his back to goal at all, Bingham would probably replace Paynter as he can play up front on his own and can pull defenders around with his pace. Also I'd imagine Luke James is absolutely busting to play up front and he can play as a lone striker he did it a lot first time around. In the current system I struggle to see a place for Fenwick which is probably why he's going out on loan.

The absolute ironing of ronnie moore bigging him up to tranmere fans.

Rates him so highly he barely played him.

I love on Pools website it says he's scored 12 goals in 49 appearances but on Tranmeres he has scored 6 goals in 17 starts this season.

So from Pools point of view it's understandable letting go a striker was such a moderate scoring record but from a Tranmere perspective they are singing a profilic goalscorer.

If owt happens to Paynter I'd like to see Oates given a go up front.

He is the sort of player I thought would come good under Iggnet. Still might.

I don't think Oate's has ever played in his preferred position. Hard to judge under these circumstances. He looks promising to me. Always bursts a gut. A good team player.
