Good point.
The future looks a lot better under Higgy.

Last season we drew about least games in the football league and its been the same again this season. All to often we have lost this type of game; if you look at the amount of points we have lost in the last minutes of games we would have been a lot safer last season and more comfortable this. At least tonight we managed not to lose a game that we couldn't quite win either. Another point closer to safety and still 2 games in hand.

A great point. We still have games in hand and I can't see York City getting more than 12 points from their last 10 games. With a bit of luck they might be back in the football league when their new stadium is eventually built.

One thing that might give York a sniff are the rumours about Notts County going administration I read today, the owners toys have fully been thrown from the pram by the sound of things.

Other than something like that the bottom two are down for me.

Sounded like Paynter had a good chance but his chip never came off Chip?

Or one of those last-day, top-six deciders where a draw gets both teams into the play-offs?

I think Hignetts biggest achievement is how quickly he has stopped Clough going on about how doomed we are and from stopping that stanley guy showing up again.

Pleased with that point and to be unbeaten in 3 is great.
Didn't snap at anyone today when they talked about footy for a change.

Come on Pools.
No easy games but feeling more confident/less scared.

With our current form I've stopped even thinking about relegation. Hope Hignett doesn't allow the same complacency from the players!

A good away point but a dismal match all the same, not many positives apart from the point.

Seemed like a different team to Saturday. Playing away to a higher team but so what? We've all seen them lose these games on an unlucky goal(or 3), so should be positive but not much between the teams in terms of ideas.

The ref did not seem to be consistent...

Billy Paynter not 100% focussed (again). Ok if he's weighing in with a goal or 2 but he didn't seem with it to me. Luke James didn't do it for me in the wider position either (same as Saturday) would love him to get a couple to settle down, but can't see it happening where he's playing at the mo.

Newport's ticket reader was crap, just like last time, pointless delay while someone from the office made their way from the stand. Can't complain at the 2 for 1 price though, thought that would only apply to prepurchase tickets.

Seemed more than 70 there? Saw a couple of gadgees counting up at the same time as me, more like 100? Fair play to those with a 300 mile trip afterwards, I was tucked up in bed by 10.30 (lightweight exile me- although I had travelled 300miles to get there during the day I only live 20 minutes away)

Strangely goes against the reports. One of which stated that it was probably out best match under Higgy in terms of team shape and discipline

I was all happy with 3 games unbeaten and what looked like a good draw against a side who had just dicked Portsmouth but now feel like topping myself.

He doesn't mean commit suicide he's going strip naked and cover himself in pepperoni and kebab meat.

He's not down its in celebration of the point. The bloke from Verona comes round and does it for the price of a meal deal (+ £1 delivery)

TBF not one Poolie has mentioned Stevie Howards equaliser. And he was playing right back. :confusion-waiting: :confusion-shrug: You can never have enough cover at right back.

I am. Although tbh i look a right miserable twat most of the time. It's just the way my chops hang.

You can't knock an away point, but it wasn't an impressive performance for me. Newport were poor. I stopped worrying halfway thru the second half cause they had plenty space and chances but did nothing with them. A bit like us.

on a positive note, in the few games I've seen, 2nd half against Notts Co and most of Dagenham match show how good we can be under Hignett. We just didn't get near that level on Tuesday.

I've been reading the Newport forum and a lot are saying the pitch was that bad last night impressive football was very difficult.
