I'd imagine she was hurt and angry you can't really judge someone in that situation.

It's awful for the kids who have to go the school with this all over the papers at a time when they are dealing with a horrible enough situation to start with.

You've got to be a special kind of damned bounder to want to work for a tabloid newspaper, as if this is a genuine news story it's just compounding misery on a family.

If you think the tabloid reporting was bad, then have a look at Leon Knight's tweets around it. He was publicly mocking them both, including tweeting them both pictures of potential women it could have been. Really nasty.

The majority of the Daily Mail's readership is female so the whole "girl power" carry on probably has something to do with publication of the story.

The majority of their online readers are gossip hungry clickbait lovers who like nothing better than a bit of of titilation based on celebrities, sex and social media. Even though Sam is no Christiano Ronaldo everyone involved in football can be peddled as a celebrity at a push and they can mention affairs and Twatter so off they go regardless.
