For some reason the other day I remembered a fillum that was on telly many years ago, that was great but I can't remember the name of it.

It was set in Australia in the 50s or 60s I think, out in the sticks, about a teenage lad who was trying to be cool and get bewers but not really having much luck. He knocked about with a wrong 'un who had tapped a game lass, who was the daughter of the village bike. No one was sure who her dad was, as everyone had been through her mam.

If I remember right it endedbadly for the wrong 'un, crashed a stolen car or something.

I'd be over the moon if anyone could help me find out what it is called.

Loads better. The dialogue is what makes it.

No, set in a different era.

It wasn't Kangaroo Palace was it?

I remember watching it in the 90s and thought it was class. Never seen it since and it is probably really shit but at the time I thought it was brilliant.

It is an Australian film set in the 60s but I think it was set over here.

Cheers PiN and BW - I just watched loads of filums in the late 80s early 90s, nice to be reminded of it again - have to see if I can dig up a copy.
