They could be without their joint managers on Friday as they were both sent off on Saturday.

Won't it be great for the telly if some of the Class of 92 were able to sit on the bench instead

They could always get Alan "know it all" Shearer in to do the pre-match dressing room rally call.

Among the things that concern me about Friday is the referee. When we were in Division 1 time after time we saw the referees favour, consciously or not, the "bigger" clubs, Leeds, Leicester, Sheffield Wednesday Southampton - especially Southampton, etc. and, of course, on Saturday we saw the same thing against Oxford.
On Friday I can see the converse happening along the lines of, " The nation loves an underdog- give them the benefit, don't upset the co-owners, the famous five... and anyway, it's only little Hartlepool, they're not important." I hope I'm wrong, but..
It's in these situations that managers further up, the Wengers, Mourinhos etc. have voiced their concerns and tried to get inside the referee's head. Come on, Ron, give it a go.

The refs tend to be more lenient in the FA Cup towards the non league teams. Salford thoroughly deserved to beat Notts County but they got away with a couple of challenges first half that you just wouldn't see these days in the Football League and if you did the result would have been a red card. A bit of leeway is given. We've got to expect that and not be intimidated. They have some good footballers like James Poole but also a couple of right horrible bastards.

I suppose it's to be expected when people like the two blokes who run them and Martin Gray are involved at that sort of level, and that's with the better teams.

Have you ever considered posting stuff that people might actually understand rather than semi literate riddles? Those are just randomly assorted words.

It could catch on. You might even get some bites then.

Aye, Peter Lim who owns Valencia also has a stake in Salford alongside the class of 92.

His two teams face similar higher caliber opposition this weekend with Salford playing us on Friday and Valencia taking on a little known outfit called Barcelona on Saturday.

Isn't that classed as a conflict of interests? (ala:- Mike Ashley), if Salford get to the F.A. Cup final and qualify for Europe and get drawn against Valencia... bbolt

Didn't I read something about the BBC paying for some tent over their pitch?

And I hope some fucker has told our players all they need to do is crunch Poole early on and he won't fancy it one bit as usual.

He played Featherstone the deepest midfielder on Saturday, Magnay was more advanced and even though he was playing very well before he went off he needs to play the holding role tomorrow night and tackle Poole firmly, but fairly a couple of times the first ten minutes and as he's doing it tell him he has a fannies haircut.

Job done.

I'd also like Bingham to get a go wide for Naismith.

I agree with Bingham on the wing. Poole was on the bench for there last game so might not start tomorrow either.

Probably in the contract with the BBC that Poole has to play so the commentators can make shite jokes where they call us Pool rather than Pools. Bastads. I have a bad feeling about tomorrow but I felt positive before Blyth so its probably all for the best.

They don't actually have a proper tent over the pitch at Salford, it's the staff of BBC sport having a sponsored camp out for Sports Relief laying on their backs pitching trouser tents at the luck at this FA Cup run straight after the documentary when the ground is the BBC Sport doorstep. They couldn't have planned it better.

I'd imagine the pitch will be bone dry as long as they don't get overly excited about the the prospect them beating us and drawing Manchester United (home or away, in Salford) in the next round.

They'll be saving a fortune in petrol.

For God's sake don't embarrass the town on national TV like last season.

Not sure why Ronnie is telling the media that we are up against it and that Duckworth has a helluva job on his hands containing Poole?

Looking for excuses already? We should batter them tonight

I'm not switching to the TV coverage till a couple of minutes before kick off - can't bear to sit through the Blyth 'highlights' as part of the build up to this one.

Counting on Ronnie not to play Kudus in the Sidney Schmeltz 'Missing In Action Somewhere On The Wing' role.

I will get the dig in now so it's not sour grapes; it's highly embarrassing that the saviour of English football that is Gary Neville has got these 2 knuckle draggers in as managers. You can play good football in any league but they chose to get some cloggers to do it for them. I hope we stuff them, and show him and his ginger mates up on the box.

Horses for courses isn't it.

They are horrible bastards, they do rule by fear but at that sort of level you still can. A lot of the players aren't even on contracts and can be binned at the drop of a hat. They could employ wonderful technical coaches with Premiership backgrounds, they probably wouldn't have a clue how to put a side together to be successful in the Evostick League on shit pitches with thugs chopping you in half. They want to progress, if they do to a certain level no doubt these two will be discarded as they wouldn't last two minutes higher up the ladder, very much like Martin Gray at Darlo. So for now it's probably an astute appointment.

Probably 4-3-3, I'd have still played Bingham though probably for Oates who's been poor lately.
