I hope hes right how ever present team selection and tactics are abysmal at present on Saturday against mansfield playing 442 and kudos on the pitch with harrison at right back a defeat was nailed on.
Tonight at Accrington if he continues to play these tactics i would say another 3 or 4-1 defeat.
Play away from home not to entertain but to get points 532 or 451 even sunderland proved last night if you work at it you stand a chance.
So for me this 442 set up and current form if we play this against salford we are in for a hard night.

Surely on current form we are going to annihilate Salford 12-0, with Kudos setting a new individual scoring record for a single match?

Solid gold steamrollers.

I would have thought that his first priority is to keep us in league 2 this season & then go from there.

Reynolds saying Premiership in five years I presume you mean?

Coxhall actually says 'we are not saying we want to do an AFC Bournemouth in three years, let's be realistic'

The interview is no more or less than every other incoming Football league chairman ever does. We'll see soon enough whether he can back it up

Headline: Chairman wants club to do well

Great bit of questioning from the mail there though, aspiring kids can only dream of being a sports reporter when they're setting the bar that high

[quote="phil". This sounds an awful lot like what a lot some of Darlo's former owners would say, and we don't need reminding about what happened to them after owner after owner invested money that nobody had.[/quote]

Just look as us now Phil. :snooty: .Proud as Punch Like. :)

Call me a great big cynic, but haven't we heard this sort of talk from Pools before? Only for bugger all to happen? At least a.couple of times a season?

I'd love to be proved wrong and see us signing decent players for proper money, but I can't help thinking that it'll be more loans and cast-offs who won't improve the squad.

Utter shite I'm afraid - a huge disappointment, hundreds of weasel words that add up to absolutely nothing from the Twitter troll all quoted verbatim with no searching questions posed by Mennear.

There's a huge masochistic streak running through our 'fan ' base that ejaculates disbelief at anyone even thinking positively. Ok, we've heard it all before, but some people really get quite 'aroused' when things go tits up.
I no longer have any expectations, but don't get bitter over it.

To be fair we've probably not heard for long time as well.

Certainly not under IOR which was the best part of 18 years, Hodcroft never really spoke of the any ambition on the field, even when we were doing well and shelling out decent coin on wages no real targets or promises were made. We certainly weren't targeting the Championship after the root of all Evil came in, financial fair play, which made pretty much everything according to Ken, impossible.

So I'm not really sure where we have heard it all before, possibly when Dean Gibb said he was going to play for England at Italia 90 and he only narrowly missed out on a place in the squad after some chubby Geordie lad came onto the scene.

It's not really a view it's pretty much fact the previous chairman never came out with anything like that in 18 years.

Whether thats right or wrong it's all just words and in time could be proven to be a load of shite as some are predicting.

I do remember a day when this message board was decent craic and frequently quite funny, I reckon in them days the intended humour in my post might have been spotted. Not sure what's happened to be honest.
