How were they?

It was like watching pools play, shite.

Really enjoyed it me, great venue, good atmosphere, good little indie band too the sherlocks.

What formation did they play in?

Aye, its a decent little place Ku Bar. Predictable line up from The Sherlocks only playing 1 at the back.

Proper bands have a Bewer up front (who has some up front) and can sing(ish). FACT

Milburn are playing ku bar in december, dunno if you liked them, very similar to arctic monks and sherlocks about 7/8 years ago.

Only £6 again.

I seen that! It's only Joe (Lead singer) doing a solo gig I think. Used to listen to Milburn a lot, as well as Little Man Tate.

Great night the other week when i was there, the sherlocks we're class n the venue is top notch. Decent nightclub after the bands finished, got wrecked on hooch. Like it was 1999 again. Plenty of decent music n birds if thats what your into, i was certain at one point this guy wanted me to take his lass home so he could watch, was weird, i wouldnt dare do that like... maybe.

Had a few nights in there, cans of red stripe as well which is ideal. Proper little indie disco, the same guy who owns it owns the Storytellers round the corner which is a cracking little pub and they play same sort of music.

We went in storytellers aswell, had a band on. I think the enemy are playing round there soon, they've had a right kings of leon style makeover mind, look weird.

Ah Red Stripe, brings back memorys of 42.

Is he the bloke who's been heavily involved in Reverend and The Makers new album? Don't know why but I have never linked the two together even though they have the same name.

The Enemy are playing Ku Bar in November, originally playing in Boro but the venue cancelled so moved to Ku. The Rev gig in there was one of my favourite gigs. Usually enjoy The Enemy over Rev, so expecting this one to be brilliant.

Either of you listened to the new albums? Just downloaded them the other day.

The new enemy stuff just sounds too polished for me, cant get away it.

Rev gig was class at Ku Bar, not really an Enemy fan but i'm liking the Rev's new stuff. I was hoping to catch his Newcastle gig but i'm in Mexico that week. I'm off to see Spector on Sunday at The Cluny and then Courteeners twice in December.

Spector were really good at Leeds Festival. Like a better Vaccines....

..but nowhere near as good as Ash, who were the best band of the whole weekend bar none, and I was down the front thinking it was 1996 again....

Spector done a decent little gig and signing at Sound It Out records last month, it's officially the first vinyl I own aged 26. Vaccines can be very hit and miss, I've seen them about 6 times live, seen them twice in the same night back in May, I agree not everyone's cuppa tea like.

Ash are also very good

Spector were superb last night, first time i've been to The Cluny as well and enjoyed it.

Only got Stone Roses in Hampden booked this year so far, fancying Little Comets in March at Newcastle Uni like.

So far this year i've got Sherlocks, Circa Waves, Blossoms and Milburn. Quite like Little Comets and didn't realise they were playing.

Was gunna go see shoot the poets last gig in boro this Saturday but transports a ball ache so giving it a miss.

Just got blink 182 booked this year so far.

Hoping a few more bands from the noughties do s few more full album gigs this year.

8th Feb for the Sherlocks, shame it's on a Wednesday night. I'm tempted to get Blink tickets, the latest album is very good.

Two Door cinema club at the end of the month, another midweek one though. Wish these bands would realise their fan base isn't all students.

Convinced the wife to go here for anniversary. Some good bands on here and a 10 year anniversary show from enter shikari so ticks all the boxes

I've got a quality 6 CD Northern Soul album in my car, £4 from Asda.

I play Apple Music in the car, through bluetooth. Because I live in 2017.
