football club or is he slow / unfit / well past his best or just coming to get a pay off from good old Hartlepool United? Simple answer to all the possible signing ........Sir Ronnie of Hartlepool is not stupid and will only sign players who fit into his plans and who will do a job during a long season be it 46 games / 10 games or 10 from the bench! Trust the man and support all his signings or risk another supporters split with half of us giving certain players the cold shoulder and worse abuse every game and that would destroy everything Ron is trying to bring to this club, the very thing that saved us against all the odds...US AGAINST THE REST. If we stick with him and his signings and support in the way we did in the last 10 games I totally believe we can have a great season.

Look just understand that all players that come to the club are
untried and will never make it
untried and will be badly coached
untried scored loads in lower divisions but not good enough to step up
northern and thick as mince
old and knackered and after a last pay day
old and knackered and too slow
old and knackered and know Stephen Howard
old and knackered and pissed
old and knackered and skint
old and knackered and know Micky Barron
old and knackered and played for Boro
old and knackered and its Kens fault
local
shit
lags
pissed
hooked on trancs
have a degenerative disease
as bad as Alan Foggan
a statue
actually injured and opening a bar
got a hip hop car/clothes online business
ex darlo
short
fat
not committed
use social media too much
that fat twat from Sunderland who could once do keepy uppies

They're opinions, something to discuss surely and unfortunately, despite his miracle working last season, Ronnie also signed Marvin Morgan  He doesn't walk on water just yet.

I have been quite negative about the prospect of Nelson signing and I am 99% sure that Ronnie has better options available but unfortunately, there is always the possibility of a 'morgan' signing by all Managers and so we shouldn't just have blind faith in the guy. If he proves us right, we can easily say that we got it wrong and yes, he has the final say (hopefully) but come on, are you really pleased at the prospect of Nelson sctatchinghead

Any how, I am also 99% sure the Nelson thing is all bollocks so we can move onto the next alleged signing to discuss

One thing I have learned from my years of supporting Pools is that not every player brought in by whatever manager will be a success. Let's hope Ronnie is the exception. If he is it will be quite an achievement.

Even Neale Cooper signed a fair collection of bum steers, though to be fair he had about two weeks to build his squad in when he first arrived.
You would hope that *most* signings would be good enough to not be a waste of a shirt.
Though I remember a time when even that wasn't true.

Its a message board, if nobody posted an opinion what would be the point of it ?

Managers at every level make good and bad signings, that's one of the great things about football, there is no 100% guaranteed way to build a successful side, and just because a player has failed at one club it doesn't mean he will fail at every club and vice versa.

There are players we are rumoured to be interested in and I see no harm whatsoever in discussing their relative merits.

Every summer you seem to get a few people who forget a forum is there for debate.

I like transfer rumours, keeps it interesting.
