Is he going to be one of the best sportsmen in the world?

Already a top cricketer, but a real world class sportsman as well.

His reaction to knocking over the cameraman was priceless.

Hey PJ. What did you make of that yesterday?

Looks like the middle order might be getting there. The top order looks piss weak.

I think the aussies will destroy that top four.

Stokes was superb, as was Buttler and Ali.

Though its a bit too much of luxury having batter at 8. That still suggests we have a very defensive policy.

Great days cricket.

I don't think the top order look piss weak. Sometimes that just happens against the new ball. Lyth and Bell got beauties, Ballances footwork was a bit off again that happens when you've only faced a few balls, Cook looks in good knick his was a bit of a strangle really 9 times out ten he either misses that or gets something more on it and it's four.

The recovery was excellent playing the type of cricket you want to see. When you see Stokes and Root playing like that who needs KP?

I actually like the change in batting order as at 8 Buttler was way too low and getting stranded 20 not out and I don't see it as defensive batting Ali 8 while he's in the team as the main spinner. The batting looks very strong.

I didnt mean defensive batting line up. I think the batting line up from 4-8 looks superb.

I just meant that with a batting line up with Buttler at 7, then shouldnt England be picking a spinbowler first then a batter?

There are better spin bowlers around than Ali.

Cant help think they prefer Ali because of his batting.

Racialist!!

He's done very well as a spinner though and I both really see a better option right now in county cricket. The more he bowls in Test Cricket the better he'll get, the fact he is a proper front line batsman is a massive bonus.

It's the type of beard that pretty much makes Pot Noodles a no go area.
