But Mansfield were due compensation if he left for someone else as under 24 but instead have just released him?

Suppose could need him off wage bill?

Sweet baby Jesus we've made an actual signing, and someone under 25 who isn't terrible...well that we know of yet, he was released by Mansfield. But still, great start

Does no harm to our slim chances of getting Tish back!

Brilliant signing. Great front two with Fenwick. Just need better than Frank's and Compton now as attacking wide men.

Suggests a front 3 to me, the Plymouth game where Bingham played in the middle of a front 3 worked really well. He ran them ragged but more importantly defended from the front and was mobile enough to do it. That makes a massive difference

Great news - surprised anyone would question what he can bring to the team after his loan spell.

Great news. But I don't think Mansfield were due compensation though. He started his career at Wigan. And only signed for Mansfield in 2014.

Brilliant start to what's gonna hopefully be a busy transfer window for us. Well done Ronnie. Keep the good signings coming. Can't wait to see Bingham and Fenwick back up front together next season!

Might be a sign that we're getting sneaky as well. Probably wasn't ready to settle for reduced terms as a sub for a team that doesn't suit his style at Mansfield if Ronnie was in touch reminding him that he'd get a decent contract and the chance to be a key player at Pools.

dolan would be a good signing next and still would try to get tish, hugill and mirfin back on season long loans if can't sign them.

If luke williams gets released, we should be paying top wages to him for us.

I think Luke Williams will get released.
He will probably get a few offers.
Wages would probably be a stumbling block.
Just remembered me letter of Russ said the season ticket money will go towards bringing the players in to get us promoted.

he did nothing at both coventry and peterborough though so people would probably deem him not to be good enough......got to try for these things......staying in the region and seemingly mates with walker and harrison could help us

Three more midfielders? I hope one of them can fill in at right back.

We could be on to a 30 goal a season partnership with Bingham and Fenwick.

Stats from last season: Bingham 23 starts 14 subs. 8 goals. (including cup appearances)
Fenwick 10 starts 9 subs. 6 goals.

Keep them fit and get 40+ games out of them
they should easily get 30 between them.

I hope......

Think they're more Newton and Poskett myself.

Fenwick already looks quite a bit like big Bob - now if he can just work on the barrel chest (and stay off the ale...)

One decent signing doesn't cancel out 5 years of running the club down...

As long as it sticks at one and doesn't get up to 5 or 6 or 7!

They have to check we can afford the VAT before rubber stamping the deal.

Easy tiger. Even I have work to do sometimes you know.

Just got back from leeds.

Great signing.

And I am not negative about the team. Or Ronnie Moore.

Just the fucking owners.

Over the moon with Bingham signing. Hopefully will help to attract other players too. Looked excellent last season and strange how Mansfield don't want to keep him but that's history now.

Makes a nice change, a decent prospect in during May- Ronnie expressed his intention and he has began- a few signings should increase ticket sales- would like Tsibola in for a seasons loan, he and Bingham seemed to understand each other and complement . Tish winning the ball, Bingham's pace-Fenwick's finishing- 2 wingers in would be good.

A good prospect Conner Smith.
Up front or on the wing.
Still in urgent need of a good right winger like!

This quote from the article about him winning the Youth Team POTY on the official site might back this up

Quote:
“He has played up front so far for the First Team but when he plays out wide I think he will do really well and with his pace, talent and attitude we know he will give his all. He has a real competitive spirit, he doesn’t like getting beat!”

Dolan and Bird next please

He was never going to fit in at Mansfield, he for a start isn't a genuine fat twat. Also he is very poor in the line out and scrum.

Williams was on 12 grand a week at Boro, there's no way we will be able or willing to pay that sort of money unfortunately.
