Gerrymandering has been going on since parliaments were first invented. It's a totally normal consequence of parties not giving a fuck about anybody but themselves.

Why couldn't UKIP take on Labour in the north? They've created a good base.

I've suggested this to others. It's ridiculous to create unhappiness by forcing people with such differing political views to be bound to the other. The socialists of the north are vastly different to the conservatives of the south.

Consideration should be given to a partition somewhere around the M62. The left can have their socialist utopia and the right can have their small government capilatist nirvana.

The shares could be sold now but they'd be sold at a loss. It's better to wait for the share price to be above water again (today's election result has helped a bit).

Not sure how much of the proceeds would be due to the north, however. Most of it would have come from the south.

Not sure how much of a utopia Norway is - there must have been some conflict for that attack on all the young Labour supporters to have taken place. Nevertheless, it supports my view that significantly different political classes shouldn't be combined.

At the risk of kicking things off again, the SNP received less than half of the vote, and only around 36% of all registered voters voted for them. They might have won a whole load of seats, but less than half of the country are behind independence.
