He's had a bit of stick on here over the last few years but fairs fair. Listen to this from 4:30 onwards and tell me the lad doesn't care..........

You just need to listen to him for five minutes on any given match day to see how much he cares.

The impact of relegation is gutting for fans but pontentially it's much worse for people who work for the club with a family to support. Who's to say as a non League club we'd even have a full time media gadgee?

He's good at his job I've never understood why he got any stick in the first place. He's probably been the most consistent performer at the club over the years, the content and imagination shown on the official site and Pools World is generally good. It's not his fault we don't win much! Of course he cares.

Mark's a nice bloke, met him when I played in the first couple of 'Play on the Pitch' things. Very personable and professional in how he conducted himself with everyone. He can't be judged based on his employers

I was welling up abit listening to that, mainly cos it feels like the weight world has been lifted from the collective shoulder. I'm a big believer in sheer determination getting a club along way, despite the averageness of players. I hope the team continue to show the same spirit because that clip shows how passionately fans will get behind the team. Utterly brilliant feeling when it all comes together like that.

Mark cares. As PJ says, whose to say that if we'd have dropped out of the League that we would have been able to afford full-time Media Staff (Don't forget, there's Becky too who has worked with Mark for many years).

Before I worked here I used to work in Site Safety and back in the early 90's we laid about 6 Reps off and I swear I was going to be next. One day I got a chance phone call from a company in Norwich and got a huge order from them that not only saved MY job, but probably kept the whole Office busy for over a year. It was the early days of Comcast cabling all the streets and we scored big style.

The day the Written Order came through I walked in the office and waved my bit of Fax Paper around and the two lasses who both had young families were dancing around in joy, but also crying.....I never really forgot it. Sheer relief.
