That just as the trust was getting off the ground something (supported by the club) comes along and sets the supporters against each other and message boards to be shut or severely restricted.

Coincidence? Or is this too clever for powers that be?

It is a bit convenient that if we do go down at Carlisle, instead of IOR being in the spotlight for the supporters bile, a section of fans will be bickering with each other over fancy dress.

If it is the case, then staying in control is more important than staying up. Which speaks volumes about our current owners.

I have a question: say we do stay up and say the supporters trust gets off the ground, would the club want to work with a trust comprised of the people who have been slagging them off roughly everyday the past however many seasons (Im probably one of them so it's just a question).

Not sure random hypothesis like that can serve to do us any favours.

Manor Lad could have been a plant, a loid ( my guess) or just a wind-up merchant. Whatever he was, it worked.

Many companys work with company's they have previously had acrimonious court cases with. It's just business, and IOR is a business

Fair point Mr Beard - as is the question, why would IOR want to work with any external body? What would they gain from working with such an organisation? (Just a question/ random thought as I want the Trust to succeed).

The problem is this disdain is now a two way street. The clubs attitude to their customers has been atrocious for years now.

At least the trust is being setup to try and bridge this gap and will be compromised of many people who don't use the boards. Furthermore peoples online and offline personas are not always the same. I'm sure people can be constructive and pleasant face to face.

I don't think IOR would want to work with The Trust. I think with IOR looking to get out, the Trusts aim is ultimately taking over from IOR (or the next, or the next owners) however long that takes to get organised and some funds put together. But you're right, maintaining a good relationship is important at present. Maybe the trust board could be made up of fans who have been less vocal. Only approx. 20% of our regulars are on the message boards.

I know both the Tories and Labour are looking to legislation that will ensure that supporters trust have more control on how their clubs are ran. So hopefully, our owners won't have a choice to not work with the trust.

It's a win win now for Pools. If we stay up everyone will praise IOR, if we go down the fans will be too busy fighting amongst themselves. If we stay up but are docked points over this shit the message is already out that Pools fans contacted Kick it out. The blame of the thick fuckers that follow us will then be aimed at the "grasses" and IOR get off scot-free for the past 7 years of absolute fucking shit.
