Labour policy to put football fans on boards

http://www.theguardian.com/football/201 ... l-election

Snippet:
"If, under a scheme to allow supporters trusts to buy a slice of shares, a new buyer attempted to buy more than 30% of a club, then up to 10% of the shares being bought in that transaction would have to be offered to the trust at the average price over the previous year."

But does that mean if a club goes into administration that a trust could be accountable for payments if they own a stake in the club.

Depends on the setup of the company, the football club limited company that is.

If it a limited company then liability is limited (hence the name) if its for example 100 x £1 shares then you are in for however many shares you own. If it were 10% of the company then you are liable for a tenner.
