Great result as it keeps Bury chasing automatic promotion, but its still down to us on Saturday, this has to be the biggest game in our history, even bigger than Cardiff 2005? sctatchinghead

Disagree, it could be a very bad result. If Bury don't win their next game they could go into their last game with nothing to play for...

Completely agree. Had Bury won last night, then whatever happened they would have gone to Tranmere last game of the season with a chance of automatic promotion.

That will still be the case if they beat Wimbledon on Saturday, however if they lose or draw on Saturday, they will probably send their youth team to Prenton Park last day of the season to keep first team players fresh for the play offs.

Not sure they'd be allowed to do that Chip. I'm sure there are rules about fielding understrength sides.

Ok then, a very weakened side.

If not Bradford then Reading definitely did it with that FA Cup game in mind.

I agree that you agree that Misterb should disagree with the OP

Can't understand why anyone thinks Bury losing and potentially not having anything to play for on the last day is good for us

Even to the point that Southend winning last night puts them in pole to finish 4th thus getting the advantage of playing 7th placed team in play-offs, meaning Bury have even less to arse them selves about vs Tranny because 5th and 6th play each other anyway so makes nee odds what they do last game if they are not in contention for auto spot

Makes it even more imperative that we win saturday and hope to god the other 2 don't pick up any points

Slight advantage in being 5th is you play your away leg first. So they would probably want that.
