I would drop Tish and play Bates allowing Featherstone to roam. Also Franks out for Hugill.

Problem with this formation is the wing backs are your outlet.

Austin doesn't/can't get forwards and backwards so essentially have no left wing. Problem with Fenwick and hugill up front is no-one plays on shoulder of last man. And the midfield has no1 breaking forward as all defensive players. So I would agree with ebby as no-one else has put a case to keeping it. Walker might be important as most likely to get a goal

At home we have to go 433 due to Austin and duck worths positioning being awful. They never make themselves available for either an attack of defence. Works okay away at home when we're not on top but that's it.

Flinders
Duckworth Harrison Mirfin austin
Walker featherstone tish
Franks hugill fenwick

We need 11 players who care 100% and are going to put their heads and feet in where it hurts and are up for the biggest game in Pools history! Period!

This. I would also have Compton on the bench.

I just hope ronnie doesn't go to 442 as previous results suggest this system does not suit the players we have got due to their ability. Looking at the bench last week it seems ronnie may have Parnaby and Bates in his thinking we shall see but hopefully he may give Ebby a role to play at some point in the game this weekend.
Fingers crossed he has got to get the right players to win this game who ever they be...............

It's a game we have to win I don't see the logic in starting with five defenders at home. Duckworth has been poor at wing back and Austin offers little or nothing going forward normally. Jones has done great but it's time for a rest his form has dipped (understandable he's a kid) it's time he was taken out of the firing line.

Tshibola has had a dip in form that is fair to say and knuckle dragging element of our 'support' have started to get on his back but a dip is understandable. According to some nuggets he's 'shit' completely forgetting all of the blood games he's had previously. He's a young lad thrown into a relegation battle and a relentless fixture list he's never played games at this frequency or intensity. But he's had a full weeks rest going into this game and his energy, attitude and work rate alone gets him on my time sheet.

Sounds to me from the OS like Mirf might not play.

Hope he does and is fit enough.

You mean like Hugill was out for the season with a detached retina

He might not but they aren't going to deny or confirm his fitness on the official site are they?

Don't want to see 5 at the back. If Mirfin is out could Bates come in alongside Harrison as the older head? Or maybe even Parnaby  don't want to see the two young lads back there like at Luton
