They can shove it where the sun don't shine. I too thought this was an early April Fools joke - but its no laughing matter, there is a real danger that unless Hodcroft manages to offload the club for real during the next 3-4 months then receivership is the only foreseeable outcome. Fans will refuse to back any initiative whilst Hodcroft/IOR remain in control - and rightly so - the grief, embarrassment, abject humiliation and neglect over the last four years will directly lead to the loss of FL status. Shame on you Ken Hodcroft.

Staggeringly cheeky.

They give us zero information and when they do it's highly likely to be bollocks then come cap in hand for us to pay for the upkeep of the pitch/ground?!

Like Mutley says about it being a good idea in better times, I'd more than happily put my hand in my pocket for the good of the club if owners and fans were on decent terms. They know full well that their relationship with us is fucking dire so who exactly do they think are going to shell out for this?

"sponser a bit of the pitch" was actually done in the chris turner years in leauge two when we were building a decent team and hitting the play-offs. i actually sponsered a couple of spots myself.the team was signing good players, they were investing into the ground, they were communicating, the team was flying high with everyone expecting promotion...we hadn't had it as good for years, if ever.

turn it round to now, and this is mr. hardy's best attempt to raise money/sponsorship?
they have pissed every fan off (apart from the dis-illusioned club men), neglected the ground and pitch, invested nothing in player recruitment, sold off our best talents, all the no further comment crap, farcial take overs, losing our football leauge status, shittiest team i have ever seen.......what was one of ior's mantra's russ? don't embaress the club? well every fan in thier right mind is belly laughing at you for this pathetic idea, no one will invest in it, well you might raise enough to paint the white lines on th pitch for next season if your lucky. if not the ref will have to have plenty of that magic foam before kick-off.
just when i thought these two could not scrape the barrel any lower. GET OUT NOW.
agree the supporters trust is the only way and needs total backing 100%.

Agree the supporters trust is the only way. Its a shame though that a few people who call themselves fans are taking the rise out of the trust with this other fans group nonsense. God only knows why anyone would do that under the current regime unless maybe the club asked them to.

Green and hodcroft should be hauled out of the club and shot.

It's turned into a Children in Need style appeal...

http://www.hartlepoolunited.co.uk/news/ ... 57846.aspx

Your £10 for sponsoring a square of the pitch can help provide Dave with:

• Half a bag of fertiliser (Dave needs around 150 bags per season)

• A seventh of a bag of grass seed (Dave needs around 30 bags per season)

• Quarter of a tonne of top dressing sand (Dave needs 60 tonnes per season)

He could be nurturing some small blades of grass in his hand with flies allover his face. Lenny Henry in the background asking him why he's not using racial grass.

So following this on -

Total cost for fertiliser per season - 150 bags at £20 a bag - £3000

Total cost for Grass Seed per season - 30 bags at £70 a bag - £2100

Total cost for Sand per season - 60 tonnes at £40 a ton - £2400

Total cost to get the pitch in peak condition - £7500 a season

Are we so destitute that we can't even fund that... Ken and IOR need to ship out...

I've just seen a tearful Lenny Henry leaving the Vic after shooting a Comic Relief style video with the Vic pitch. Some of those ruts and bobbles, utterly tragic.

One Direction could maybe do a charity single for the Vic pitch?

In currently sat naked in a bath of baked beans. Fuck all to do with this like I'm just a bit of a pervert.

I've just seen Bob Geldof outside the Vic

Hope we can do something for Dave Brown.

ElvisC can you help with a charity single maybe this this reworking of BandAid

(its International week I got nothing better to do)

"Do They Know It's Extratime?"

[Dave Brown]
It's Extratime, there's no need to be afraid
In Extratime, we let in goals and we banish hope

[Russ Green]
And in our world of plenty we can sow a (grass)seed of joy
Throw your fork around the pitch in Extratime

[Ken Hodcroft]
But say a prayer, Pray for the goalmouths
In Extratime it's hard, but when you're tending grass

[Ronnie Moore & Sam Collins]
There's a worm outside the dugouts
And it's the worms you dread and fear

[Mark Simpson]
Where the only water flowing

[Adam Boyd]
Is the bitter Trophy on daft

[Ken & Russ]
And the Boro youth that play there are churning up the pitch

[Brian Honour]
Well tonight thank George it's Darlo instead of us

[Buster]
And there won't be snow in Hartlepool this Extratime
The greatest gift they'll get this year is VAT

[Marvin & Marlon]
Where nothing ever grows
No Transfer fees flow

[Whole Sqaud]
Do they know it's Extratime at all?

[Everyone in full chorus line.]
Fill Ken’s Pocket - [repeated to end]

Very funny. Just as well though as I was starting to think the only sane people left had all buggered off after reading another board where some seem to be actually buying into this. Who in their right minds would actually pay towards this nuts scheme?

There are three of them who are shit stirring. They are all on an ego trip and doing their best to undermine it while trying to appear loyal to Pools. This isn't about loyalty, its about the future of HFC and if those people want to nail their colours to a mast that has publicly stated that they want out then thats up to them.

They are just white noise, nothing more.
