I see that odious creature Peter Tatchell tried one of his marches in Moscow today. Ooops, bad idea. He got a good kicking from the anti queer gathering and the police.

Where he sticks his portion is a matter for him and his wet wipes but his policy of 'outing' destroyed lives.

fookin hilarious

for a gay man tatchell's lack od anti-perspirant caused the attack on him and the other bummer got slapped as daz does not really get your gear so clean

and they got nicked!!

27 May 2007- Moscow - Australian-born gay rights activist, Peter Tatchell, along with several other gay protestors, was arrested in Russia after trying to hold a demonstration in Moscow outside the Mayor's office in protest of being denied a parade permit.

Tatchtell, who now lives in Britain, was in Moscow along with a group of about 100 gay rights supporters to present a letter supposedly signed by 40 European MPs to the office of Moscow's Mayor, appealing against the city's ban on a march they wanted to conduct.

Police quickly ushered about a dozen demonstrators and forced them into a bus, including Russian gay rights movement leader Nikolai Alexeyev and Tachtell and arrested them for inciting a riot.

Opponents to the gay rights demonstration quickly turned on Tatchell and the other gay rights activists when one anti-gay protestor was seen punching Tatchell in the head before the activist was led away by police, which was caught by numerous photographers, as seen above.

Following the blow to Tatchell, the group of Russian ultra-nationalists then began shouting "death to homosexuals" kicking and punching the gay rights demonstrators while some threw eggs at them before police stepped in and separated the crowd.

Yury Luzhkov, Moscow's mayor, has refused to allow gay rights marches and has previously referred to them as "the work of Satan".

Last year, more than 100 people were arrested at a banned gay rights demonstration in Moscow and dozens were attacked by right-wingers shouting "Moscow is not Sodom".

Haha, you know I posted a thread a few days ago asking if there were any 'forum rules', well, after reading this topic my question has been clearly answered. Its obvious there are no rules. I like

Well Peter Tatchell is a right knob I agree, but punching homosexuals simply because of their sexuality is disgusting.
I've got a couple of mates who are gay who have had a right kicking off the police simply for being gay.
(and thats gay as in having a relationship with a man, not in a lets act really camp and fucking stupid like Julian Clary)
I suppose some people think thats alright too?

I have nothing against them myself, each to their own, but Tatchell is a disgusting creature and he deserves everything he gets

I seem to remember us exhausting the gay debate over a year ago.
Wasn't it one of the longest threads ever?

Still, I do understand that some people like repeating themselves when their point fails to hit home the first time round.

My point was not about his sexuality, its the man himself. Whether he's gay or not is immaterial as is the fact that he likes to shout it from the rooftops.

The problem I have with the bloke is his 'outing' policy. If someone putts from the rough then its a matter for them but this guy under the name of gay rights went around publicising people who's lives and careers were then pretty much trashed.

I wasn't bringing up the old faggot debate, I agree it was done to death ages ago.

Some people are just feckers. Bitter, twisted, whatever. I think they thoroughly dislike themselves. They jump onto some cause or other that's dear to their heart, in order to get a bit of attention and spread malice to make themselves feel better.

Peter Tatchell is one of these people. As is Germaine Greer, and a lot of the extremist animal rights people (like those blokes that dug up the corpse of a family member of someone who made a living doing something they didn't like).

I don't think queer-bashing can be condoned, but it's nice to see Tatchell get a slap just because he's an individual who deserves one.

The fact is that there are some regimes where it's simply inadvisable to do this kind of stuff whether it's laudable or not and it's a naive bloke that thinks you can go knocking on the Mayor of Moscows door and say 'Oy, you banned the shirtlifters march but us shirtlifters are going to do it anyway.'

Now it wouldn't have to be shirtlifters in Moscow, it could be, oooohhh I dunno, The Russian Vegan Society, or the Mothers Union, but in a Russia under Putin, you do as you're told, when you're told or you face the consequences.

Now when you're the Mayor and you've banned a march in Moscow, whether it be that you don't like gays or you simply can't be arsed to provide the organisation that a march needs, and some uppity Westerner turns up on your doorstep with the entire media circus broadcasting to your Nation, do you blush and smile and tell him 'OK, I was wrong, you do what you want in my bailiwick, I'm just the bloke in charge,' or do you slap the little bastard down??

What would anybody on here do today, if a bunch of blokes turned up on your doorstep and said they were having an overt gay party in your front garden right now whether you liked it or not when you'd already told them no??

Exactly, let the dog off.

It's like everything else, if you don't annoy it, it won't bite you. The root of the problem here is that, like a lot of minorities, if these blokes don't get what they want, they'll play the discrimination card which might work in the UK but not in Moscow, where fundamentally, they don't give a shit about minority rights. Tatchell should have known that.

I don't think I made meself clear Dawlish. Tatchell is a muppet, end of story.

The point I was trying to make is that he is a shit-stirrer who uses an issue to be a nasty bastad.

I read an interview with him in either the Observer or Independent on Sunday possibly around a year or so ago. The interview was sympathetic, yet he still came across as an insensitive bully, quite happy with his notoriety and persecuted status.

Now if he was to emulate Emiline Pankhurst, that would get my respect!

What are the chances?

I think he found out that the further you get away from the more liberal areas of London, the more the tolerance diminshes. I'd strongly advise against such actions in the Middle East.

I think it was the moment when they realised it's a big world out there and it aint receptive to their ideals.... and as people around the world discard western values, it will become even less receptive. Their naivety was astounding.
