How do fella's (and ladies)?

I'm in the process of starting up a new online only free community newspaper and I'm looking for a few people to help contribute to the sports section on a regular/ad hoc basis. Obviously my first thoughts for everything football related was to swing by here and see if anybody would be interested?

I know Richard over at the Mail seems to do a decent job in covering Pools but having another source isn't a bad thing nor is wanting to cover more of the local leagues and competitions going on.

Interested? Great, let me know and I'll pass on my contact details.

Shane

Well up for getting involved.

Let me know what you think.

Get Connor on board, the lad deserves a break. He is free to publicise any stuff on here.

Another vote for Connor the kid seems to have an incredible enthusiasm for the game in general.

I've asked. My missus really isn't up for it I'm afraid...

Looks like there are a few people interested and signed up, which is great. Including Connor.

The site is 'live' now (with a few test articles) at http://www.hartlepoolherald.com though it hasn't officially launched yet. It is officially going live on Monday when it will be completed with new stories etc.

The Herald is meant to be a real community newspaper so if you have any local event planned let us know and we'll advertise it for free. Got a story? We'll share it. Local business doing well? We'll shout about it.

Looking at quality of sports write-ups, hopefully we'll be second only to the Bunker for football news ;)

Will you be doing a story on the farce takeover and telling it like it is?

It says in that article the takeover was called of on the 19th of january.

Its not even a bit strange that it took till after the transfer window to shut that it was made public to us fans.

It also gives hodcroft credibilty for keeping the club ticking over when in reality the instalments from peterboro are doing that.

If hodcroft wants the fans back on side then he could quite easily back ronnie to bring in 3 quality loan signings in.
