I have a question and I'm a little confused.

Hypothetically, lets say I sold a business. Oh I don't know but for arguments sake lets assume this was about a month ago and I apparently have nothing to do with the company any more.

A month later, can anyone think of a reason as to why I might still control the bank accounts?

As I say, purely hypothetical.

No hinting, just an entirely theoretical situation.

I would say it's because you still own the business and the sale hasn't gone through. If it was your business you'd know though and your shareholders would definitely know.

1. you may still have authority/ access as you've been retained in some form of executive role
2. you may still have authority/ access as some form of deferred payment arrangement (i.e. until you've been paid in full/ relinquished any final obligations, you retain some control)
3. the deal has been 'done' but not fully executed in the eyes of lawyers/ bankers/ etc

Oh yes.... I'm an expert.

I'm just consulting my book of words, to ascertain to an acceptable degree of certainty, as to whether your compilation of basic words does, in any way shape or form, constitute a question. Should it be established that it does so I will refer it to be considered and subsequently answered.

Then there will be the promise to spend our way back into the league and the reason for going down will be blamed on the football league for bei g to slow to ratify the takeover.

This shit could only happen at POOLS!

I still don't understand why they wouldn't announce that it was still ongoing though??

Unless they have failed and are appealing etc and don't want it common knowledge as could affect their image etc??

The FA states it will endevour to advise the result of the Owners & Directors Test, as it is now, within 14 days of receiving the application so even if you take Christmas period into account and any delay in submitting an application for the new chairman/owners/directors it surely would have been processed by now.
Whether that means one or more of the directors has failed the test or simply that this rumour has no substance only time will tell.

There's a short guide on the FA website http://www.thefa.com/~/media/files/thefaportal/governance-docs/financial-regulation/guide-to-the-fa-owners-and-directors-test-regulations-august-2014.ashx

Oddly enough, that situation currently mirrors what is going on at Pools right now when you think about it.
