I was talking to a guy today whose 3 year old son has been diagnosed with terminal lukemia this week.

Football WAS at one time a working mans game where you would work
your bollocks off all week and when you went to the match you knew the
players would work there bollocks off.

Players like Austin, Joe Allon and Jackie must be disgusted at what ther see
at our club, they know just like we know who cares.
Certain players are just not mentally tough enough, so Ronnie has a constant uphill battle.

As heart wrenching as that must be, it's not a dichotomy, is it. There's room for more than one strong feeling in your heart.

Unfortunately you can't save the kid's life by giving up supporting football or I'm sure you would.

Of course not. I was simply making the point that football isn't really that important when compared to something like that. We're all tying nooses over the league table but compare that to the situation that this gadgie is in and suddenly things are put into perspective.
