He's a canny lad but all's what this will do is split the vote even more ensuring the pig face one another term....a stupid thing to do by Picton!!!!
He should have tried as a Councillor for a few year's first to get a bit of experience in 'politics'!!!!

Have to agree with Mutley. The labour voter(s) won't defect in the number required to have him beat.

A tactical vote may have succedded but the problem now is that there'll be to many options so any tactical vote will lose it's viability. Wright will get in because of that. Unless one of the coalition decides not to stand (can't see that happening) and there vote goes to the other, even then you'll still need everyone that voted liberal or tory to vote for whichever stands to oust him. Think he has somewhere in the region of 5,500 majority.

Having said all of that his majority has decreased by about 2,000 since 2005. The 2004 by election is unimportant and the majority has been cut from over 14,500 since Mandelson won it in 2001.
