It's funny when Pools win because I've spent a bit of time today doing things I've not done for months like watch goals from yesterday, look at league tables and read the oppositions view on the game.

Paul Buckle reckoned Cheltenham's forwards 'caused us problems every time they got the ball up to them' He also mentioned them hitting the post and the bar as if it was the pattern of the game the post was hit on 90 minutes and the we hit the bar for them on 92 at a point when 4 or 5-0 wouldn't have been unfair. He also went on about the conditions which by the time the game started weren't even bad, the ball was rarely affected by the wind. We've all seen far worse at the Vic.

I suppose if your team has just been beat by a side bottom of the league by some margin, you are going to try and play it down a bit.

Opposition managers always blame the conditions when they lose. Yet when they win say how they adapted better to them. The conditions are nearly always the same for both sides. May slightly change when they kicking other way after half time.

I always used to hate Ian Atkins for the bollox he would came out with after playing pools

Last night Swindon went top of league 1 and only a few weeks ago in the cup Cheltenham put 5 past them and last week they won at Oxford so pools played well on Saturday.

Don't think the soft southern jessies enjoyed being beside the North Sea in a bit of a winter breeze.

Hopefully it'll be the same conditions for Plymouth and Northampton.

That Cheltenham performance was probably the worst away performance i've seen from a team at the Vic, they were absolutely garbish. Don't get me wrong we played well but they were just shite.
