No no no. Both strikers today scored and looked a constant threat. Same eleven for me.

I think it would be possibly a little naive to go into a game against a team unbeaten at home playing 4-4-2, horses for courses for me with an extra man in midfield.

I'm off to Shrewsbury but not Tranmere because I'm off to Pompey in Feb and I can't convince the missus all three are sound investments!

Harewood on the bench for me after today. I'd probably play the same side against Shrewsbury....that said, Cheltenham were absolute bobbins. Not taking anything away from us though :)

I probably am being naive, but we've already beaten them at home with two up top, why not try it again? The amount of times we've played 4-5-1 and got fuck all anyway leaves me with the conclusion of "why not just go for it"?

agree completely. Why change the only formula that has worked for us all season? I remember when the team a couple of seasons ago first started playing 4 33/ 451, fuking dreadful idea from the word go at this level, fuk it 442 all the way for me in this league

You are both probably right, if the two lads in the centre of midfield play like they did today and Harrison is as dominant as he was today we'll have a chance. It would probably Fenwick who would left out for Featherstone if he did what I was suggesting and he doesn't deserve to be left out after today, he put a great shift in and with better finishing would have scored 3 or 4.

I'd say one of the reasons we won today was because we kept attacking. We didn't sit back. Playing one up front may go against us tbh.

Agree! We need 3 points more than one in a game from now on so lets attack and give the other teams something to worry about.

we might as well go and try to win the away games rather than trying to defend for a point and get beat narrowly

If there is any hope it lies with the goals. We need a run of wins and that means we need to try to score goals home and away - two up front for me. Having said that I'd be delighted with a draw at Shrewsbury followed by a win at Tranmere. In fact, just the win at Tranmere would be more than alright.

Harewood can still have a part to play in my opinion, I don't think he will walk straight in because Fenwick and Bingham worked well. Fenwick could have had about 5 chances. Harewood is useful to come on and hold play up and slow things down.

Its gunna be a close call between fenwick or harewood.
Personally i reckon we need to try and bring someone in whos better than both of them!

Fenwick is a very determined lad and he showed on Saturday that he is improving. Yes, he missed a few chances but he got into good scoring positions and worked well with a pacey forward alongside him. You can't expect lads like him to be the finished article straight away, he needs time to develop and he is doing just that in my opinion. He should definitely stay in the side for the Shrews game.

Agree. On Saturday he kept getting into good positions and kept shooting! The only one he fluffed was the first chance and he didn't let it affect his confidence.

It's never easy for so-called 'natural' finishers to move up from non-League but Fenwick may be the one who does it for Pools. He'll have to keep on improving though.

We've not had a Striker thats mustered four attempts on target in a game since Joel Porter!

Couple with his all-round strength and aggression I like the lad. Stick with him.

I think one thing Fenwick will always give is 100% effort and that alone will bring its rewards. I believe he can only get better with more games and coaching under his belt.
