Ah jesus, time really stands still for Moore, doesn't it?
First he sees nothing wrong with signing Evans, with his 'cavalier' attitude to women, to play for a community club. Now it's "don't go shopping, let the missus do that". The missus who's quite likely to be a teacher, nurse, manager etc should perform menial duties for a sodding footballer? Really?

True.

But most importantly the likes of Bates, Franks and Parnaby wouldn't last two minutes working in the Asdas... Thanks Cooper confised

I agree. It's significant to learn that Moore thinks people who work in Asda are all thick and untalented when compared with the average footballer.

Maybe they can meet Yubep and Dibble in the bread aisle.

Or maybe Yubep and Dibble could be 'promoted' into the team.

He's a football manager, not a diplomat. I've worked in ASDA when I was younger, I didn't take any offence. He was just trying to make a point.

I read it as if they fail as a footballer at Pools they may find themselves in a regular 9 to 5, (which being a footballer obviously isnt)
Hence the reference to not living in the real world.

Why should he have to be a diplomat to notice that there's a world outside football, with people living in it who aren't footballers?

Surely he was referring to salaries when mentioning Asda ie minimum wages and highlighting its a long way from their current wages. That's how I read it. I like his no nonsense approach. At least it's refreshing.

It's as refreshing as when Neale Cooper tried slagging off our players in public.

He's saying our players are shit therefore he's slagging them off in public.

He doesn't have to name names.

It's desperation, this stuff should be kept in house. There's no good outcome of public outbursts like this, the players will be pissed off, the coaches will think he's having a go at them and performances will suffer.

As long as the fans think it's mint though then I guess it's ok, certainly deflects from the fact our new owner appears to have no money or intention of even trying to keep us up or even prepare properly for next season. Just spout the same old stuff to the press and expect 3,500 through the gates every week.

It's fairly basic man management by not naming names he is asking the players to make sure they won't be one of those he's talking about. Like the Ferguson/Brendan Rodgers thing with the envelope with the name of a player who'll let him down this season.

It is also a harsh reality for these players. They have 14 points in more than half a season, do better or the majority of them will be (and rightly so) will be out of work next season.

What is he allowed to talk about, what would people be saying if he was blowing smoke up these players arses? What do you want him to say? If the players can't handle the truth then they are even more pathetic than I thought previously and are exactly the type we need out of the club as quickly as possible.

The problem for me is they know they're shit, if we're not going to re-infornce the squad then what's the point in having a go at them? All you're going to do is make the fans hate them even more. I understand where there's no effort but the players he's directly or indirectly targeting in this and the other article (Franks, Holden, Duckworth) are putting in a shift, they're just shit!

I just think we need to be pressuring the owner into doing something rather than rounding on the team.

He has to manage the team though and try and stir them to get something out of them that is his job. As I say since he's been here I've never seen him 'slag off' any of the players, he's spoke about areas certain players could improve, what's wrong with that?

Public outbursts, stating he wants Evans, not going to training.

Maybe he realises what a shit job it is and just wants to be sacked.

I thought I read on here that he was rarely taking training?
