I fully concur with the Salty one, I was a bit dubious at first but the more I listen to it the better it gets.

I bet Chip thinks the same as well

hmm - i'm not sure actually, it has grown on me slighty since i first gave it a listen, but my initial thoughts when i heard the single, and then the album was that it was just a medley of the first album and hadn't really moved their sound on at all....

however i saw them a couple of weeks back at the astoria and they were absolutely awesome - a very good live band!!

i bought the album at the same time i bought the new KoL album and i personally think that's much better and they do change their sound with each album...

quite a few reviews I read of their last UK tour, and reprots what Das Wanderlust told said the adulation they were held in hadn't been seen since the smiths..... it just seemed to kinda fit in with your 'thick smiths' jibe!

 or was that mrs fireball?

they are a well loved band for sure, jammy bastads

its my single of the year so far, I think his little hooks and *whatever you call that overlapped singing thing* are dead clever... - the "love is a lie" bit :sweeeet:

Forgot about this..last Monday night I took the kids to see Girls Aloud at The Arena. We WERE going to see them at Darlo but Sotnik's a big fibber...

Anyway, the support band were called Rogue Traders, an Aussie band who basically had based every song on a Punk/New Wave riff. (they had a recent hit with "You Are My Voodoo Child", which is Costello's "Pump It Up" re-hashed). The first number they performed was basically "My Sharona". The second was Blondie's "Presence, Dear", the third "Pump It Up" etc...but they were bloody good and had a VERY sexy female singer, far naughtier than any of G.A. clappp
