If you role everything up into it i.e.

Shirts etc
Tickets home / away
Lottery tickets
Transport
Beverages
food

I bet you don't get much change out of a grand, if you go to most away games you'll probably top 2k just by yourself

If you have kids I reckon your looking at closer to 2k just to go to home games.

its easily £50 a match [home] for me, probably more

I don't make all home games and went away once last season - other seasons I've been away a lot more

best not to think about the money IMo cos then it cheapens Pools for me

This is one of the reasons why we at the poolmad household decided to knock the fortnight away on hols on the head.

It was a family decision to go to away games instead.

So it's the short breaks for us. rolf

Football is not cheap, but you either take it or leave it.

2 grand pah! I'll see your two grand and raise you....a couple of quid.
going to a home game is made cheaper for me as I get cheap or free train travel but it costs at least 200 notes for each one for me and my boy.
this season 2 of the kids wanted shirts and with away trips a bit cheaper for me I'd still say 100 quid each, add in poolsworld, monkey biz etc yeh 2 grand is a low estimate.
I don't regret a penny like.

This season, approx. £2,500 for me. 540 mile round trip for home games. Petrol, rail tickets for away games, misc. gear from shop, untold alcoholic beverages, crap food and a trip to Holland.

Money well spent in my opinion. Luckily my girlfriend is banned from 95% of matches, so that saves me a fair few bob.

£7 for 5 issues delivered to your door. Or a quid a copy if you buy it at the games.

The cost of programmes really boils my piss.
