I keep reading on here/rivals there's plans to extend. Is there any truth in it?

If so, does anyone know what is planned/timescale etc?

cheers guys. 10,000 would be a sensible capacity imo.

No need for anything bigger................yet, but as next season will probably prove, the away allocation does need to be looked at.

Dawlish, I have just replied to your Torquay post

Elvis thats interesting stuff.I wasn't aware that there were actual plans.
question is how does it get funded then, could we get any grants to pay for it.

Also my idea if we need a few more thousand seats in the future for home fans would be to build onto clarence road and close it off

A 3,800 seater stand would dwarf the rest of the ground.

But realistically you do need a bigger capacity.

I thought the idea was to expand both the Rink End and CK stands, although that would be more expensive no doubt.

There are CERTAINLY plans, because I've seen them. No idea of a timescale but the outline is for a 3800 2-tiered stand, split Home and Away for run-of-the-mill games but with the capacity/segregation to hand over the full end to Away Fans for the matches that require it.

The best likeness I can think of is Tranmeres Away end we were in at the Play-Off Semi. Only the Pools one has shops/offices etc underneath.

It all ties in nicely with Hodcroft's "10,000 capacity" vision. Sensible figure and it looks fantastic on the plans.

10,000 isn't sensible, 25,000 now thats sensible, isn't it, all of our loid viewers!

As we speak no, we don't. Like I said elsewhere, we can hope for five away sell outs next season in the league. Going forward though we might. It'll be one of the smallest in the division next season and should the unthinkable happen we'll have to go all seater I think, which will reduce the capacity even further.

Rumour has it there's a couple of plans been drawn up.
