Sacked by Scunthorpe, now they were near bottom when he took over last season and won promotion.

What do some chairman actually expect.

He's spent a fortune there. Money talks by the looks of it.

Their fans hated him even when they went about 26 unbeaten when he took over.

There's also a South Elmsall and Frickely Athletic connection.

I'm not sure they were anywhere near the bottom when Laws was sacked, not far off the play offs withing striking distance of the the top three. You've got to remember how tight League Two was last season for most of it and as has been said they had a big budget. £300,000 for Madden wasn't it? They might have went on that long unbeaten run but the Scunny fans weren't actually happy throughout most of it if you read forums, they seemed to draw more than win and the football by accounts was dull and uninspiring.

The Watford one is strange buts its been more circumstances than crazy sackings, the strangest thing of all is they are joint top!

He did spend a fortune, but it was money made from selling players on for good money & re- invested,so it's not as though he put the club in debt.
