It pains me to say that HUFC are finished as a football league club. No investment, no manager, worse squad ever, even the 60's, ground going to shite, my brother played for pools reserves in the early 70's with Dennis White, and Peter Creamer, so I have a long affiliation and past with pools, I even appeared for pools reserves myself. IOR ARE RUNNING US INTO THE GROUND, WE NEED TO TAKE CONTROL OF OUR CLUB TO SAVE IT. I DONT KNOW HOW, BUT SOMETHING NEEDS TO HAPPEN.

My prediction is that I'll be watching Dover v Hartlepool next season. I also predict that Hartlepool will never get back their football league status once the inevitable happens.

I watched Pool play Man U and Chelsea in the fifties so go back a long way and it is tragic to see the decline after such a fine spell in league one. However a quick glance at the ex football league clubs in the Conference proves that Pools do not have a god given right to FL status. The town will lose one of its three claims to fame and be left with the monkey and Peter Mandelson.

On the bright side, Hartlepool will be able to renew rivalry with Gateshead for a short while before the local derby with Darlington is revived (do Darlo still exist?).
