The correct figure is actually around the fifteen hundred mark.

It was my signature and yours in response for about three years!!

In short, lets just say I wasn't impressed when I personally heard Humphreys bragging about how him and a couple of others had got rid of Neale Cooper first time round. This was at the time. Barron will be fully aware of the circumstances.

If it was RH at least he might get some backing I can't imagine KH wanting him to fail…

Not my choice but one upside.

Hopefully it will be Gordon Watson from a fans point of view.

I don't know who best choice of manager as we have a young team set up to pass and counter attack???

so if you brought in a martin allen goofball type I don't think he got the nasty players to get it done.

Yes I'm sure Paulo is busting to return to the North East for 600 bar a week to try and advise Jonathon Franks that clipping useless crosses into the box at 12 miles an hour after the 14th attempt probably isn't the best idea....

Paul Ince jesus is that the same Paul Ince who is beyond hopeless. Ince had more back room staff than the previous manager had players tripled the budget.

My gut feeling.. Collins will get the job because he's already on the books. He won't get an assistant because that'd cost too much money. He'll be woefully inadequate to do the job, because of previous point and because he's a rookie manager thrown into arguably the hardest job in football right now, with no money to spend.

Let's hope I'm wrong.

Sadly, the way things are going these days, the cheapest option will probably get the job. That would probably mean Collins and putting a novice manager in at this point would be suicide.

As for Ince if this new Rooney rule comes into place where at least one non-white gets interviewed for every post then he is going to be guaranteed a lot of interviews...

Bates is appalling, dreadful, shit, lamentable, dire and cack.

His performance today was probably one of the main reasons Cooper walked, his number one signing and captain today was an utter disgrace almost from the first whistle he fucked up about four times in the first ten minutes. I'm sure victims of press ganging have shown better body language than captain pea heart. If Collins does get the job I hope the first thing he does is put himself back in the team in place of this waste of a shirt.

Collins probably has what it takes to be a half decent manager at this level. It would be to his advantage that he's played in the lower leagues for a good few seasons now, and knows what sort of players can cut it.

I also doubt he would come into the job with grand but totally unrealistic ideas of how he would like the team to play, which was partly the problem with Cooper. He wanted us to play like Boro's Academy team which was beyond the ability of a lot of our players.

Our only hope now is to go back to a Wadsworth style conservative 4-5-1 away from home and try and pinch a few wins, and be equally unambitious at home. It wouldn't be pretty to watch, but we desperately need a holding midfield player who will protect a piss weak defence, assuming he perseveres with Bates, which would be no certainty.

The ease with which we got picked off on the counter attack was embarrassing and Miller and Walker looked completely pedestrian compared to their players. Tommy was at least trying but the way their number 22 took the ball off him near the end then just raced away from him was embarrassing.

I, half-jokingly, thought to myself about Wadsworth coming back today after we went 1-0 down. I really wouldn't be adverse to him coming back to the club. I don't know what he's doing now, looking at Wiki says he might be at Sheff United as a coach? Sounds fucking desperate but I'd have him back like a shot. Can't see anyone else worth their salt wanting to come up here. At least he knows the club.

When Hignett came as assistant he stated he wanted to get into management. He would be stupid to leave boro for it but I'd settle for it

It's a weekend, nothing on that list is based on anything other than what's been wrote on here and who's either doing well in leagues below us, has a tenuous link to us or is unemployed.

Has Brian laws ever had interviews for our manager role? Obviously he gets linked with us every time we have a vacancy.

Also, is Stephen fucking pears still here?

He nearly was our manager the time Hughes got it but decided to go back to Scunthorpe.

no way will Laws hang about here for longer than 6 weeks if he gets treated the same as the other recent incumbents
He'll just walk, he won't stand for it

In fact, he'd more than likely not even bother applying for the job if he knows anything at all about the owners
