"MICHAEL Duckworth is adamant the intense competition for places at right-back at Hartlepool United is helping improve his game.

The 22-year-old is Colin Cooper’s first choice full-back ahead of Stuart Parnaby, currently out with a knee injury, and Jordan Richards.

But with Neil Austin and Boro loanee David Atkinson both capable of playing across the back four, the competition for places at right-back has become a running joke amongst supporters."

The Fail are at it again, they are not seeing the severity of our lack of right backs at the club.

It's nice to finally get some recognition for my piss taking.

But I'm still concerned we need at least 2 more right backs to survive at this level.

Why stop at two more? At this level there are so many defenders around that are just plain wrong that when you spot a right back you should always snap them up.There's no limit.

The league will automatically call it off won't they, we are not currently meeting the RB quota of 7 which is a league requirement. FFS sort it out Pools... Scooty Out

The real issue for me now is the left back position. Need another 3 or 4 brought in before I can sleep soundly.

its always been something that amazes me.......and has down the years. When a player talks up his game, claiming he is a better player than whenever...........................whilst pools appear to be freefalling to the non league.

Thanks for the info Mr Duckworth, but what about every other fooker?

If you have improved they must have all got considerably worse.

Yes. Admittedly not as good as fresh right backs but better than getting caught out when you suddenly need an extra right back on Christmas Day when the shops are closed.

I've tried the tinned ones but was disappointed .... best get a free range one in my opinion ..... they cost a bit more, but they're by far the best ...!!
