The VAT on this deal alone could cripple us.

This. Best of luck to him. Can't blame him one bit for wanting out of the club. The coaching issue is a biggie. We as a club are not able to develop players. They all go backwards due to the shite coaching at the club. James got out any way he could.

It's "The Bunker" you've spent most of the last decade on......

I don't think ANYONE is saying he was shit. I'm saying his last fifteen or so games, where he wasn't injured, haven't been great, and I stick by that.

I'll second that. He hasn't looked like scoring. The spark had gone.

I've no doubt he will regain it for Peterborough though.

WTF are you talking about we have sold two players in the past year for 5.5m and 6.5m just got nearly half a million sell on for Boyds move from Hull to Burnley

If these players are any good they will all get big money moves

Really you need to educate yourself on football

Burgess in his first two games has been class Baldwin was doing OK till he got injured hopefully he will be back soon

I find it a bit disrespectful slagging off former players who have done well for your club, us at Posh have had to get used to losing talent the likes of Boyd, Tomlin, C MS, Gayle and Assombalonga to name 5

You are a small town club, pretending to be a Championship Club. It's short term. Your Chairman is odious and your Manager a runt. Hope that's ok with you, if you don't like it, kindly return to your own clubs Messageboard and wallow in some more hype.

Take that log of your shoulder..FFS

Us Posh fans know what we are a small club making the most of what we've got and helping young players develop and move to bigger and better things

Good luck proper Pools fans

But the whole team has been playing shite elvis and no matter how good James is he would struggle to fight against the tide of shit in that team. Players just do not develop at our club. duckworth, walker, Poole, Compton, James, flinders all seem to deteriorate. Surely everyone can see this. The problem lies in our club and I don't think we can blame the players who are realising that they need to get away for the benefit of their comparatively short careers.

The lad wasn't exactly Messi but he did put a shift in and scored some decent goals. He's obviously had his head turned by Baldwin saying how great it was, bigger pay packet etc and good luck to him with that. The thing that rankles with me is.. It's Peterborough ffs. That's two of our arguably best players gone to Peterborough who we were rubbing shoulders with about 10 year ago. It's just depressing to think where the goals/points are going to come from now.. In fact fuck it, pass the cyanide, goodbye cruel world ...

I don't think you've (Posh fan) said anything out of order mate but there are a few unhappy people on here right now and you follow a club that is profiting from our perceived demise so I'm afraid you're gonna get it.

No hard feelings from me towards Posh

This is a debate for another time but somewhere down the road, possibly mid-way in our return season to League 1 with Danny Wilson. Something went wrong. The club became stale, the players became lethargic and our good players (with the exception of Joel Porter) and later on our prospects gradually got worse. This problem has been around for a lot longer than people care to think. Our club has gradually become more and more rotten over the seasons and now it has come to this.

It's obvious why we haven't signed anybody today.

Ken and Russ haven't been able to pick up a phone since Darragh MacAnthony sent them an email entitled 'Jennifer Lawrence' last night.

Second that. Good lad and a great talent, I just hope he realises he needs to sack that fucking agent of his before it's too late.

Looks to me like his agent has done a good job for him. Shit for us, like.

Good luck Luke, don't blame you one iota.
Surprised at some of his criticism.
If you worked for a company that was going down the tubes & you get a better offer somewhere, you'd be off.

What was the fee?

Luke didn't want to be here, hopefully we got a decent price. He was a fantastic player but like has been said he wouldn't have developed any more here.

As for replacements - does anyone really think that Cooper has any idea who to sign? I'd love to be proved wrong but I just don't think he has any contacts outside of the north east - hopefully he has fucked off.....

Who would trust Cooper with 200 or 300k to spend? Not me.

If they don't trust him to spend money then why employ him?

Lets be honest - he's one or two games from the sack - even Coopers strongest supporters can see this. Why allow him to sign players he might not even be managing in 3 weeks...?

how do you know?

I suspect the james money, whatever it is, will only be used to prop up the ailing club.

Their only goal appears to be avoiding the drop, which already looks a challenge.

I darent post what I was told last week.

I fear a letter from pools solicitors.

When People like Phil are throwing in the towel Pools are indeed fucked.. I never bothered with a season ticket for reasons you know well .. I'm so glad I had a reason NOT to buy one before the deadline expire or they would've mugged me as well.. Oh well Seaton seem to be scoring goals ..maybe Ken will come down there and start waving his cheque book .. It said it all when they sneaked "An IOR Company" onto our badge we're not "The Towns Club" anymore..

Portsmouth have though, on a much bigger scale than darlo ever did. Didn't do them that much harm though. I've always wondered how they managed to remain in the football league...

Portsmouth are viewed as a big club, the authorities would bend over backwards to avoid having a big name club go pop. Darlo and other smaller clubs are an irritant to the big clubs who want all the money to waste on over hyped shite.

Don't know what you're all worried about. Scott Wilson in the Echo is telling everyone that our "current campaign was blighted by (James') obvious desire to move away from Victoria Park".

So that's what the problem was. We'll be sailing up to the playoffs now, then.

He won't even score 10 IMO.

Think he got one in the JP Trophy or summit. 2 yarder.

He might finally get to 10 since leaving this season like.

As most of us were clearly saying at the time we did well to get £500,000 for a lad who couldn't score in brothel he was always going to be a one season wonder.

Good business Ken, well done.
