....why dont sandwich toasters generally have an on/off switch?

Always just seems to be plug it in and its on, take plug out to turn it off.

Why?

Mr Monkeybutt is our resident food expert but I'd guess that if it you put your sarnie in and then bring it up to heat it'll be drier than a nun's chuff.

Like Mr Dibble knows, you have to brown them quick. :-D

They have an element in them, when it reaches the optimum temperature the light goes off, when you put the bread in and the lid down, you can tell when it`s cooked because there is a burning smell and cheese oozing down the side :ugeek:

I know that but why can't u flick a switch and that heats the element? Toasters don't just turn on when plugged in, I fail to see why a sandwich toaster should.

Women are like sandwich toasters, they don`t have a switch but you stick in the filling when they are hot and take it out when it starts to ooze :ugeek:
