So what do we need then? What areas do we need to strengthen / replace? A lack of good backup cost us the title this season.

GK: if we keep Dimi (unlikely based on his POTY interview) then were fine, if not we obviously need a replacement.

Defence - the biggy: I reckon we need a good central defender as backup to Nelse and Clark. He needs to be of a similar standard too in order to give competition to the two aforementioned. Right back - we don't currently have one other than Micky Barron and he seems to be injury prone over the past couple of years.

Midfield - more than enough cover.

Forwards. Personally I think were ok in terms of first choice which I think will be Barker / Porter or even Barker / Foley, either formation would be formidable.

We don't actually need much in the first eleven, what we need is good quality backup and competition.

Defence seems to be the biggest priority I agree.
I wouldn't be too unhappy if most of our signings were in that department.

For the rest of the positions it really would have to be a cartwheel signing to get the adrenaline flowing.

I'd get a left back in to give Richie some competition and it wouldn't surprise if Wilson was the first manager to drop RH (excluding his loan move to Port Vale) in favour of a stronger player.

GK - worst kept secret is dimi's move. is provett good enough?

defence - it was our weak point this season - inadequate cover - hence my surprise at jones' release. barron is tiring and can't last 60 70 mins - we need 2 defenders minimum and three is anyone of them leaves - we all praise nelse but clark is a class act too and will have caught the eye of many.

midfield - we do lack cover i think. How long will Bolam's hamstring last, sweeney's groin, brown's fitness, liddle - see clark above, monkhouse - see liddle.

up front - porter ainy played for two year, foley is unproven, brown - maybe, mackey and rae inexperienced. we need cover.

One striker(quality), a centre midfielder(quality), left back, right back and a right winger so James Brown can be one of 4 strikers fighting for a front-two spot(Barker,Porter,A N OTHER and Brown).

For(quality) i mean alot of money wisely spent.

Maybe a centre back as cover as well.

I'm glad that someone sees sense. Next season will be a massive one for Foley.
