Been reading Colin Cooper's comments about the end of his first season in management, the retained list etc. There's no doubting his sheer determination to succeed, but the rest is cold comfort.

He writes the word 'Desire' in the dressing room at half time against Exeter as a challenge to the players to show something in the second half. That's one motivational tool he'll know not to waste on 'the group' a second time!
He tells Jordan Richards he's getting a new contract because 'he needs players who want to be at the club'
He admits his hands were tied when he walked into the club last summer (contacts already sorted, no spare cash) then says it's going to be 'evolution not revolution' this time around.

So, Colin, how much desire do you really have to keep Tony Sweeney at the club another year?

How much does Jack Compton want to be at Hartlepool?

Is 'evolution not revolution' code for 'there's no money again this summer and I'll be relying massively on loan signings when the season starts?'

We need Hansas.

I did hear Boro's Manager Karanka getting interviewed on Tees last night saying he would like to get his overly large squad down from 35 to 22/23 players........that could be good news for us.

I'm afraid that phrase will come back to haunt Cooper next season. And his silly idea of writing Desire on a blackboard and expecting the bunch of proven failures to do something about it. It is obvious tbere is no money around by the retained list he has produced with only two first teamers released. And they have upped the season ticket price to watch that rubbish again. You really could 't make it up. I await with interest the appointment of Cooper's assistant because if we get that wrong I can see the Conference looming again. I wonder who are the bookies' favourites for relegation next time around.

Are you complaining about £180 for a season ticket.

Christ on a bike how long before someone's moaning about the £80 price hike over the last three seasons

Once promotion and relegation is settled I would be surprised if we aren't favorites for relegation, no money to spend and a team that dropped like a stone...4 points from the last 9 games is pure shite
