Probably wasn't to discuss sunbeds.

Seeing Green and Hodcrofts faces just before half time and then at full time made me feel better about the club yesterday to be honest, they looked like they were bricking it the first time I saw them then at the end the joy and relief was like the rest of us. It didn't look like two blokes who didn't care to me.

Hodcroft wasn't even stroking that cat he's brought to recent home games.

So I wonder what their next move is for next season. I couldn't believe the mail yesterday thats pools were talking to councillors regarding a guy placing a burger stand in clearance road and could effect the takings within the ground, of all the things to worry about at the time we could have lost our league status.

Wonder if they will challenge Morrisons for selling food and mill house and bowls club selling beer

I think it all depends on what happens higher in the IOR food chain.

Green was on the pitch hugging the Coaching staff and players, Harewood took his shirt off and gave it to some portly kid he was with, Harewood looks well toned mind

I think Russ Green's role needs a good coat of looking at. I question whether we actually need a Chief Exec. If we are to be self financing, without any financial input from IOR, then every single role in the football club needs to be scrutinized.

They need to sort the food in the ground out then, yesterday at half time the food stand behind the town end only had hot drinks

Rumours were that Russ was worried that a burger van outside might reduce the amount of food ordered in by the club in turn reducing the left overs he gets for his bait through the week.

I know it's not an easy ride at all - and remember Russ Green does work for Hodcroft and IOR. He is not IOR.
Yes he may have made some mistakes but there is ABSOLUTELY no doubt in my mind that he is as passionate an anyone about HUFC and that was very evident at the final whistle....tinged with a huge sigh of relief as well!

So would I try and get the extra 1500 back, all of these people used to go regularly in the recent past if 100 of them decide they've missed it and buy a season ticket next season it's well worth it. Yesterday's drama can't have done any harm.

On one hand the game can only be a let down on what we witnessed yesterday. Maybe leave the extra few hundred hanging and hope they want to
Get a season ticket on the basis of the
Morecambe win instead of an Exeter end of season kick about (for us anyway)?

Raise the season ticket price and lower the pay on the day cost

No one is going to buy a season ticket on the strength of 2 games anyway

The words presented may not be the ones inputted ..Thanks Tapatalk

Sounds reasonable.

£200 for a season ticket would still be a good price.

If the fat fool was celebrating us avoiding the Conference then we are well and truly fucked. If we had replaced the two centre halves we sold this season we would have been at the other end of the table.

If he hadn't celebrated he would have had got no end of shit as well. Let's hope we see some faith in Cooper from him over the summer, starting with an assistant of Cooper's choosing.

Pools won't offer credit on a season ticket, that will have to be got as in previous years from Zebra. reason quite simple, if a Direct Order, Standing Order are cancelled then Pools would have to take whoever missed the payment(s) to court for the money. They would also have to try and get the ticket back to stop it being used. If Zebra have to take fan to court then there's less bad publicity, Pools have the money, the fan has the ticket, Zebra have to get the money somehow.

It would look great in the press wouldn't it. A headline of "Hartlepool United FC take fan to court for owed money and return of season ticket."

Credit off Pools simply will not happen.

(1) the bloke is an employee of the club, he doesn't own it. He is therefore tied by any business restrictions and caveats that the chairman dictates.

(2) he is not a fat fool. He may not be a model but what difference does that make. With the daily challenges he faces he is a friggin miracle worker to keep the club operating at as minimal a loss as possible, to retain so many employees in the town, and to enable the club to have the size of the squad we have. He does not play on the pitch.

(3) the masterstroke for this season was the retention of Collins and Monkhouse. Ridiculed by countless at the start of the season. Monkhouse absence from the team shows you at time what is missed - missed first five games of six match losing run - says a lot. Collins - blokes a real pro shown by the fact he was hardly played and slots into back spot like and playing like he five year younger. Both players could have left in the summer. They never. Next year should see cooper build his own team.

(4) I spoke to him before, during and after the game. He was as nervous and as tense as the very wound up players before hand, confessed to having just two hours sleep. Other stuff spoke about makes you know he's committed. The range of emotions he showed through the game was the same as every other true pools fan. And after, well he was riding the crest of a wave like everyone else.

I am not his mate , I am not a club man ( yeah I write for the programme etc, but I am well and regularly edited) , not an arselicker - just giving the view as I see it with just spending some time with him. If you think it's hard being a poolie try walking a mile in his shoes. (Talking of which he's also doing 3 peaks challenge with cooper and co for his charity, 26 miles of walking)

Good job he is there if you ask me. There my be better people to do the job, but would they be as committed? Doubt it.

Let me just check the league table.

Yup, thought I wasnt dreaming. We are near the bottom of division 4.

Now I havent seen that many games this season, but unless league tables are suddenly telling porkies, can someone explain to me how keeping any of the players here could be considered a master stroke? Unless of course finishing 17th in league is considered acceptable?

Anyone remember when a certain megalomaniac down the road started building a new ground. Well a certain contractor did.

Does anyone know any of the contractors that worked on it? Does anyone know any contractor that gave a quotation, and was told they could have a box instead of payment?

And those that didnt accept the sort of "payment" then did the work, were only offered the box anyway?

Has this sort of behaviour ever happened at Pools?

Recently?

Just asking. :shhh:

I'd hardly class it as a masterstroke to persuade a 36 year old centre back and a 34 year old winger/striker to stay another year after they'd just been part of a horrible relegation season.

the both of them would have been over the moon and they could have been considered very very lucky to get another year.

none of us want to blame the manager for the mess this season has become.

But now some are saying dont blame the Chief exec either.

What other business that has gone bad has NOT blamed the Chief Exec?
