I hope they're getting some royalties off Cbeebies - the theme music to 'Same smile' is a complete rip-off of their seminal 80s single 'Crash'.

Whatever next? Mr Tumble jigging about to a xylophone version of 'Just Like Honey' by Jesus and Mary Chain?

That Pharrell Williams shite thats going global at the minute is heavily "lifted" from Velvet Hammer's "Happy" from 1972. Dont people realise that some folk have memories and boxes of old 45's? its blatant.

Mind, the worst one ever is The Coral's "Dreaming Of You" and Jimmy James & The Vagabonds "No Good To Cry", a close second to that 'lovely lovely person' Weller and his Electric Light Orchestra tribute on "Changing Man"!

You can play one over the top of the other..its the same tune, same production, but a different lyric.

Another one you can do exactly the same with is T.Rex's "Metal Guru" and The Smiths "Panic". Open two Media Players and try it. Its the same tune, same arrangement.

Michael Stipe and more importantly, Peter Buck and Mike Mills were always Wire fans. Buck got his guitar style off Wire's Bruce Gilbert.

Didn't do so bad on it, like, but they were honest about it.

What was the one which was a direct copy of 'Brown Sugar' by the Stones? 'Bohemian Like You'?

I regularly hear songs where they are a concoction of 2 or 3 other tunes,so even though you can hear what's going on- you can't always quite put your finger on what it is

If you listen to Common People carefully, it could have been written by a German oompah band at Oktoberfest. It's only the lyrics that save it, although I do love it.

The start of 'Laura' by the Scissor Sisters is a complete rip-off of the original Thomas The Tank Engine theme tune.
