So the FA upheld his 3 match ban and now West Ham have launched legal action and the FA have said they will look at it again.

Could set a dangerous precedent.

He should never have been sent off and that 'lovely lovely person' that dived should be banned for life.

If they let him off because they threaten legal action it's a disgrace, imagine if pools tried to do that, they would try to kick us out for not respecting the integrity if the FA rules or some bullshit

Of course he deserved to get sent off.

He is a stupid thick geordie bastad anyway.

He swung his arm, but missed.

And because he missed some say he shouldnt have got a red?

So if I am caught on camera, shooting someone, but missed I should get off?

He caught Florence with his arm, Florence went down like he'd been shot.

It's a game played by grown men and if they want to cheat should be banned from playing, I'd rather see a thick Geordie give someone a sly dig than some fancy rat roll about like he's dying with the aim of getting someone sent off.

A stern telling off for the pair of them would have been reasonable. The FA are just protecting World Cup Webbo as he hones his card showing skills for this summer's fiesta of sending offs.

Nowt to do with the ref, he swung his arm to hit him, it was a red card.

You can get a red card for a two footed lunge whether you connect with the player or not so the same should go for an attempted 'punch'.

Both should be made to watch the incident repeatedly whilst getting a mans haircut, embarrassing stuff from the pair of them. Fucking fannies.

As for taking legal action do me a favour, this from the club who broke the rules to stay up not that long ago. Fat Sam will have an excuse when they get relegated now.

i'd have given both the same punishment, 3 game ban each. Feigning injury/diving is the most pathetic thing in football and i'd clamp down massively on it if i could.

I agree.

I was half serious about making them watch the incident. Sit him in front of a disciplinary panel and play the incident several times and watch him squirm. It would be cringeworthy to have to publicly watch yourself cheating and behaving like a fanny. Ask him what the fuck that was all about then ban him. He might even think twice about trying to get a fellow pro sent off in the future.

exactly my thoughts. if you've ever played the game you'll see that carroll intended to whack him with his elbow. the fact that he missed and flores acted like a 'lovely lovely person' doesn't mean it wasn't a red. yubep, you make me proud

What happened to that extra game added to your original ban for a frivolous appeal?? Or is that just for the likes of little old Hartlepool and not the bigger boys. He quite clearly meant to hit him but ended up giving him a girly slap.....tart

his facial expression as he swings his arm gives the game away, he meant to hit him and probably hurt him, but for flores to go down like he did after minimal contact, they both want banning for life.

Of course had he stood up like the man you all want him to be he would probably have a broken cheek bone now.

Funny owld world.

The actor is seen as a bigger criminal than the thug.

So deliberately exaggerating the incident in an attempt to get the other player sent off is sporting?

I'd rather see the odd bit of aggression from a player like Carroll than blatant cheating, which ruins games.

Carroll got a bit pissed off with him diving all over his back and reacted, a soft red card yes but one you are going to win an appeal for? No chance, legal arbitration... Are you taking the piss? Pure desperation from West Ham and their dinosaur manager who's entire season was based around Carroll winning headers.

Flores was still the most embarrassing in all of it though, a cheat plain and simple.

Agree with adg, surely trying to elbow someone in the face is worse than feigning injury

Play acting is shocking and needs wiping out.

But in this case without it Carroll would have got away with it.

As carroll represents everything I hate about football then I am happy.

Long ball shite and winning headers arrrrrgggghhhhhh.
