Depends who they're registered with I suppose, I know there's two registered with the Muslim Welfare Association.

What's the purpose of the thread anyway?

I think people can register there house as a Mosque It's especially good if you want hold prayers, weddings or simply enjoy free council tax *outrage bus pulls into station*

I've used the extra money for a conservatory but the Neighbours aren't happy with my sunrise call to prayer sound system.

Fuck them I say they should have thought of it.

I'm not sure it's the case in Hartlepool but I think it's caused some shit in other parts of the country.

But if we have 200 registered Mosques I'd imagine that is a pretty good reason why

True story, me and my mate found a really nice hotel in Calcutta (I know!) after visiting about ten a tramp would turn his nose up at. Smug with ourselves we went out for a few beers after checking in. Imagine our shock at 4am when the call to prayer speaker appeared to be wailing into our beds.

On closer inspection in daylight the next morning we appeared to be next door to West Bengals and possibly the Worlds biggest Mosque.

They have to be doing it for some reason though.

Maybe it's how they get the VAT back for the Islamic Ray Gun factories.

Like I said its an urban myth that's been doing the rounds on message boards for at least 6 years.

It is. And, as you say, nobody on here has shit for brains so nobody on here is likely to make an issue out of it. Thank fook for that.

If I'm honest the misuse of an apostrophe in the thread title is more annoying.

Used to be big in mining areas because Methodists were keen on self-improvement, Sunday schools to teach kids to read, lending libraries at cheap rates before public libraries spread and so on. Big campaigners against poverty as well. Some people reckon that it was the involvement of the Methodists that kept the early Labour Party very moderate and kept them different from most of the European left.

Methodists don't have a big top heavy structure like the Catholic church but they pay a percentage of income to the church so they can maintain the fairly simple buildings pretty well. Lots have closed though. They come third in my list of alright Christians, just behind Quakers (dodgy name but OK really) and the Anabaptists.

Anal baptists sound far from OK to me

...I am also deeply concerned by the apostrophe. Makes this place look shabby

Primitive Methodists, a lot of the early union men originated from them

I would love to see that - Davey Rarfson in the black chair with his hands down the front of his trackies whilst John Humphries asks him about housing benefit reforms.
