What a load of rubbish!!! Some fools have not read and have misinterpreted Colin Cooper's quotes on Friday. He said he's only looked at loans so far.

That's what Cooper said...

The Pools boss has been keen to add a different dimension to his strike force and the arrival of Harewood will offer a greater physical presence in the final third.

I suspect a dummy spit from one or two posters on here.

Hope he is fit and does give us that plan B when the balls through the middle thing doesn't work.

Got to assume he is in good shape as passed his medical today although even when at Villa etc 5-6 years ago he was always barrel chested.

We need experience and we need someone physical. Hopefully its the start of 2 strikers and were not dropping James.

Let's hope he's more of a Paul Murray than a Steve Howard. Good luck to him.

Can't say I'm excited by it but am keen to see how it goes. Coopers judgments been pretty good so far and I'm sure he wouldn't waste cash on someone he doesn't feel can offer something.

Doesnt he run some car modifying business that Rodney used too or am I making that up?

Do you mean AC13, I think that is Andy Cole. Seems to either have and interest in it or he's used it before, along with just about every other twitter based footballer in this country!

Hope whatever role Cooper has got for him is successful and I also hope we haven't dished out a lengthy contract. End of the season max.
Good luck to him.
What's his flick on like?????

The rumours on Twitter were of a 2.5 year deal. That would surprise me though, unless it was a 1.5 year deal with an extra 1 year option

He is another option and we need a forward however would rather seen an out and out finisher than this type of player. Maybe he can cause a few problems and bully defenders allowing James to be the sniffer in behind.

Looking at Harewood's twitter page, he was certainly popular with the Bristol fans. Many disappointed he was let go.

Hope he uses the 'passion' that BCFC fans associate with him at Pools. Good luck to him.

Duckworth
Burgess
Baldwin
Austin

Compton
Walton
Walker
Monkhouse

Harewood
James

Just got him mixed up with marlon king, I was about to start kicking off that we'd signed a player who'd been in prison for hitting women.

I don't think Richards had a bad game on Saturday and to drop him for no reason would be harsh. Duckworth is better than the two wingers we currently employ in Compton and Franks, so I would personally try that. If Richards then seems to be struggling you can always revert to dropping Duckworth back and brinking compton/franks off the bench.

It'll be at least double that if he doesn't get 15 by the end of February. I can see him taking the piss in this league with James alongside, decent crossers and Poole behind him.

Come on Mr Spender, it's not that long since he was playing in China.

If he paid more than £6 for it he got his eyes took out. Mine kept decent time for nearly 3 months.

"He certainly ran around a lot, and had a great fist pump action"

From the Bristol Shity site.

Walton has competition.

They didn't say a lot of decent stuff about him, but he was still on his way up in his career. Now he has reached the top I hope he does well.

If was in China more than a few weeks its a possibility we have signed a fake Marlon Harewood.

Why is that you complete and utter fuckwit? Is your life that devoid of interest?

I doubt anyone is excited we just hope he can do a job for us. I trust Colin Cooper that he's the type of player who can help and wish him luck. Some of the stuff I've read from fans of clubs he's played for has been pretty positive.

Well I'm excited. Might just have a trip to Fleetwood on Saturday.
Team:

Flinders

Duckworth
Burgess
Collins
Austin

Compton/Franks
Baldwin
Walker
Monkhouse

Harewood
James

Bit of experience at Centre-back with Baldwin in the holding role.

When Howard signed I was cautiously optimistic and thought a lot would depend on how him and James played together. I forgot the possibility that Howard might be so completely shite that what you did with him and who he played with made no difference at all.

I am now cautiously optimistic on the grounds that Harewood simply can't be as bad as Steve was and we are well overdue a successful signing of an old chap. Welcome and best of luck Marlon.
