Sounds like half the defence were still pissed at kick-off.

Assumed it was a joke Mr Thornley, Cooper seems to be far too keen on a professional approach and decent fitness levels for that sort of thing to be going on.

Presumably he was well pissed off to go two down so quickly and it was a bit of gallows humour.

but we're talking about fetish bob, uber fan, we were poor today in a few areas, but to suggest the players would fail a breathalyser was pathetic, meant as humour or not!

Uber fan, NO ordinary fan like everyone else. My humour may differ from yours, I could have actually threw insults from the stands at the players but didn't. If anyone actually thought it was a serious post then I'll apologise and delete the whole thread.

Bob, humour aside, do we need to sign a striker?

Interesting question, of course we need to sign one, an experienced one but who do we drop for him?

Do we carry on with 1 upfront and drop James? Play two upfront but drop Poole? Not sure what I'd do to be honest.

we were awful all over the park today and james got his first decent touch of the ball around the 70th minute, not good enough for a team playing at home against seemingly poor opposition.

We still had 20 corners, 15 attempts at goal to their 7 and 58% possession. The difference was our keeper had
a mare and theirs didn't. Quite simple really.

but it is rare a team gets so heavily punished for a handful of mistakes by such an average team

This is my view of it, if not just to piss off shaker77...

Absolute bollocks.

Did you go to the game??

James and Poole stated the game well as the team did offensively we had two or three meaningful attacks and missed a sitter before they scored after five minutes.

We had all the play but lost a couple of awful goals that shaped the game. We were clearly the better team, it was a mad game. 21 corners to 1 speaks volumes.

He's having a bad spell. He's had one before a couple of years ago when his kicking went to shit.

Mistakes seem to effect him and when he makes one another couple follow quickly. A couple of bad games certainly doesn't make him a bad Keeper though, the best keeper in England has been prone to the odd nightmare this season.

Didn't he have a great relationship with Collett?--it's these little things IOR did to cut costs that ultimately add up.
Cooper has saved IORs arses this year as their backing for him and Pools has been shite

His last dip like this came when Collett was goalkeeper coach a couple of years ago.

Breaking news; sometimes footballers lose a bit of form. The ones who don't generally don't play for Pools for that long.

He is still a quality keeper.

Come on pj, surely you know that letting Collett move closer to his family was the ultimate sign from IOR that they have lost interest

Hartlepool to York is hardly the other end of the country.....lets see what happens this transfer window, after getting rid of Howard and selling Hartley, lets see how much money IOR give to Cooper to strengthen........fuck all is my guess!

Cooper has already said he will
Be bringing players in and I doubt he will say that without talking to IOR.

Struggling to see what you base this on ? Commentary ? Hearsay ?

Commentary- only meant to be a lighthearted comment but I should know better despite it being New Years Day!

Is Collett your relative? You seem to keep banging his drum about IOR loosing the plot.

Said plenty of times on here too.

Mainly by me no doubt and is something I stick by. Dimi made some horrific decisions for us too, it happens.
