A BIG thank you to the support and fundraising received on here these last few weeks and the today rounded off your much appreciated efforts!
Admittedly an Herculean effort from myself to run all 4 North East Football Grounds covering 61miles but it was support from the likes of yourselves that kept me focussed along with the reasons why I was running such a difficult challenge!
The welcome I received as I ran along Clarence Road and as I ran down the tunnel onto the pitch was my own personal reward and I couldn't help taking off once more and completing a lap of honour, yes I milked it a tad perhaps, but hey why not? That standing ovation will live long in the memory and at this moment I feel tired obviously, along with the mixed emotions of elated, proud, honoured and humbled that I have completed such a feat for the two chosen charities Finlay Cooper Fund and Sir Bobby Robson Foundation!
