Hang on so Jimmy Anderson who has taken over 300 Test wickets would be earning an 'easy cap' after having three poor games yet you are suggesting people picking merely because they are there!!? Surely picking Rankin would be giving him an unwarranted easy cap?

Great logic.

Anderson and Tremlett have both played in the series so far and both have been shite. The only other option that is available opposed to playing one or both of them again is to give Rankin a go.

So stick or twist? Stay with the shite that we've had already or give the alternative shite that we took with us a chance?

Rankin played a warm up game a couple of weeks ago and by all accounts could barely hit the cut strip. Journalists there suggested absolutely no way could he be selected in a Test Match as it would be embarrassing. I 'd rather see Anderson given a chance to return to form, on a ground more suited to his bowling, rather than give someone who isn't even good enough to be on the tour a game for the sake of it.

I could probably buy that theory, but wouldn't change any of my other suggestions.

The laughable thing about the squad is apprently Tymal Mills who isn't even in the squad was closer to playing in Perth than either Finn, Tremlett or Rankin after impressing in the nets!? Those three might as well go home.

I'm onboard with your top 8 but from there its a bit strange. Anderson hardly deserves dropping even though he was Fukn shite. The mcg should swing so pointless dropping him on his favoured wicket. Swann for me has suffered but turn hasn't been great and the 2 remaining grounds he should be ok on so once again I wouldn't change. As for Finn well if broad is injured is play him from the choices we have available. Onions should be walking into this side

Mr PJ. Have you spotted that the ashes are gone, and we haven`t got a lot of pride to play for. We shat it.

the stuff about Anderson is perfectly sensible.....................except, like spender says......................who gives a fook now? Who cares that it swings? They deserve dropping out of principle. The amount of excuses being given to them is laughable.

Do you really want us to fight back, and let the history books say it ended up 3-2? And then say, look we were right they are back on form now. Too bastad late.

they dont deserve that cop out.

You and Dibble should take charge of the fourth Test.

We haven't got any pride to play for apparently, in the Boxing Day Test in front of 100,000 against Australia. We should just sack it it off turn up pissed with eight men.

Surely all we have to play for is pride? and anyone who doesn't show any shouldn't play for England again.

Dibble can you point out a single excuse I have posted?? We have been slaughtered.

So why didnt they show any pride in the first three then?

Which arsehole only starts playing for pride after they have already lost?

If the pride comes to the fore and they win the fourth test, they will get the biggest let off ever.

Like I said, they dont deserve that chance.

I dont mind losing, but I hate losers.

And this lot have turned into losers almost overnight.

Was it over-confidence, arrogance?

Poor preparation?

All I know is, they couldnt cope with the sledging and the piss taking, and looked like frightened rabbits. Acted and played like a bunch of faggots, with no fighting spirit whatsoever.

And I wont be watching the fourth and fifth tests. I would be apoplectic with rage if I see some fight all of a sudden.

The idea that they have shown no pride and not tried is lazy throwaway nonsense. They've just been well beaten by a side playing very well and played poorly themselves.

Thousands of people are heading to Melbourne and Sydney many have probably have saved for years. I'm they'd be delighted watching England reserves. They owe those people a performance as well as themselves.

They are all losers now!? They've been number one in the World, won in Australia for the first time in a quarter of a century won in India for the first time in longer and they're all losers after playing badly for 15 days....

John will you please fuck off with this sensible detailed nonsense.

Now is not the time.

I want blood. And you may well have defused any glimmer of harmful intent.

Thanks for nothing.

all joking aside, I do have some sympathy for the England team when you see this itinerary.

http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/teams/england/fixtures

I know all of the players wont be involved, but some will.

Its nuts.

Yeah it is, he's out there for the lot.

We bumped into a few out there, on day 1 at Adelaide there were 3 Pools flags and a Trimdon one out of a total of about 25!

What a match this is. What a win this would be for South Africa.

But India could still win as well.

How refreshing.

a very strange decision by SA to stop going for it with 16 needed off 3 overs with 3 wickets left.

It's not that strange in a two Test series, lose and they couldn't win it.

I get that PJ, but they still had 3 wickets in hand. If they were 9 down or even 8 I could see it, but there was only 18 balls left.

With a crocked number 10 and a useless number 11 it made sense
