I think if you read the Sunday League thread on here the first post talks about an 11-8 win.

That only mattered to 22 people as well, so you`re in good company.

Considering the Mail's idea of a good article at the moment is one asking people to send in their photos
of oddly shaped vegetables, I'm not surprised that they've written about this as well.

Get the fook in. I can't stand all those plastic Birtley fans.

Talking about the Mail, they're really going out of the way to catch the action in their pictures these days aren't they.

How do they get away with such a bag of shite? Do people actually still buy it?

Unfortunatley they do.

Do they still do food reviews of Greggs?

If an atomic bomb exploded in Church Street, despite managing to get the Mail on sale so early you don't even know which days it actually is...... it would be reported on a week later on page 17 under the advert to win free tickets for all the family for Chainsaw World at Roker and just above the results of the 'Drawings by your dog'.....won by Tyson, an amiable Doberweilerpitbullmadbastard of no fixed abode etc etc etc........
We used to have a local paper once.

Haven't read it for years except for links posted on here. Just had a look and found the worst column I've ever read. I'll paste it in here to save you looking for it:

"Shaw thing
I LOVE Christmas, if not the winter that comes with it, and I excitedly wait every year for the calender to flip over to December so I can start merrily preparing for the few days of festivities."

That is the lot and he or she even managed to get the spelling of calendar wrong. I suppose they could have accidentally deleted the rest but it looks terrible. The Ex Pat column turns out to be a map you can mark yourself on and there is no longer any trace of Dirk Van Der Werf's excellent gardening advice.

I will maintain to my final day that NOTHING has ever made me cringe as much as the short-lived 'Grandad's groans' column from a few years back. shuddderrrrrrrrr.
