He knows we've found a gem, but apparently his dad took a lot of persuading to let him turn pro.

Colin Cooper is obviously a Championship Manager veteran. Get young lads in on free/ very cheap and then sell on for a tidy sum, then spend the profits on bringing in better players.

I got pools to the Premier League using this very tactic in CM 01/02, its a winning tactic.

Ffs :(

Makes it all the more unbelievable this guy was sat playing for Bradford park and had to rely on his boss getting him a trial instead of a scout spotting him.

How many more out there?

Ps fuck league 1 clubs, maybe even championship clubs, get yourself into the Premiership and go to the World Cup!

Clubs can ask all they want he's contracted to Pools and I'd imagine it would take a serious offer to see him leave. How many League One clubs have they sort of money?

and the one thing we know is IOR don't tend to sell for peanuts and won't have their hands forced by derisory offers.

Hopefully we hang the phone up till June and only listen to 7 figure offers from then on.

Top player who deserves to be playing at the highest level, i really don't think he'd struggle. If he was to leave id follow the lads career and wish him every bit of luck.

Its nice to know we have players who are wanted by bigger clubs but also very worrying as we certainly won't get someone better to replace

When we had Jake Kean on loan a couple of years ago his parents were very impressed by and thankful for the way the club treated him. It's difficult to see that Duckworth's parents (he's only 21) and the player himself could feel any different.
With Cooper and Higgy in charge the best place for Duckworth for the next two years is at Pools.

I have talked to Duckworths Dad the last few home matches (they attend all of the games) he said that Michael was enjoying being here, settled and fitted in well. Also said he is desperate to get a goal. He used to be a winger, hence no reluctance to take on the opposition

Always think of him being older than 21 for some reason. I heard he has a celebration lined up he is desperate to show off!

I know he doing great at right back but I'd really like to see him right wing. Imagine being their left back!!
