A very even game for me. The ball is way too much in the air. Ref has been poor for both teams. Can't remember us having a shot yet to be honest. Must improve 2nd half

James is by far the most dangerous player on the pitch which is basically the only positive

What happened when he was pulled down, Ivan Ash on the radio said clear foul and probably a red.

They have agreed about us not getting it down but think Bury should be two up!

James was hauled down but wasnt a red, was on the Wong and they had a man in the centre. Clear card and foul though.

2nd half so far has been the worst iv seen us play this season. Walton has been awful, he can't pass a ball. Something wrong massively. Head well down. Franks also very poor.

As a team tonight we have created nothing and its like last season, 80 mins in and I'm gutted I came

this is where the management team will have to get their message across to the squad. Sounds like the attitude hasn't been 100% tonight for some reason. Bury were always going to pull their puddings out tonight cos they have got to the point where they were desperate for a win, and looks like they have thoroughly deserved the points

Ah well

Full time not happy. Overall no stand out players. James worked hard 1st half but 2nd wasnt involved. Walton and franks very poor. Even duckworth made mistakes, hopefully just 1 of them nights. Hopefully bury kebab shops chicken tikka kebab is better than our performance

I think ultimately the result is just another reminder that we shouldn't get carried away. Things are definitely better than they were last season and some great strides have been made. But at the end of the day there are still obvious weaknesses within the team and the ability to perform consistently well is still under question.

Disappointing that we couldn't win but hey ho. Hopefully we'll be back on it next weekend.

yep, what Bramstein said

I'm still enjoying it cos we can win at home again!! It's been so long I'm just enjoying that fact. I can easily live with the fact we need to improve on the away performances, but when a one nil loss is about as bad as we perform, then it is a massive step in the right direction

I fancy us strongly against Portsmouth Saturday. They just lost a goal lead to ten man (and admittedly flying) Southend outfit. They can't keep a clean sheet, we invariably can at home, so should bounce back relatively quickly.

Worrying this away form though, especially those who backed us to go up this year (fume).

If we keep winning at home, then I'm sure the away form will sort itself out eventually

Hope so parmo because hat simply wasnt good enough. We didnt have a single shot on target to memory. Midfield had an off day, Walton has been very good of late so hopefully its just a blip. Home form is crucial to any campaign and we need to create fortress vic again. 4/4 so let's make it 5 on the bounce at home in the league

We were extremely poor tonight, void of any sort of attacking threat for 90 minutes basically. Flinders persisted in the long kick to Monkhouse to win, it appears he didn't know he wasn't playing. One threat in the first half came when he threw it out and we worked it down line for shot to be blocked. nothing more can be said, it a game to be forgot.

This couldn't have been said last season......We missed Monkhouse tonight. It's a no brainer that his name is already on the team sheet for Saturday even if no one else's is.

Franks is shocking most of the time. Shame to hear Walton had a poor game, been very good recently

Thought we were going to get back into it when James was in on goal, the bury fan sat with us couldn't believe the difference in the second half after Poole had tortured the right back he seemed to change to a centre forward role, thought franks and Austin as well as Walton had below average games. We should have gone in at half time winning but it was a poor day at the office.

there's teams/ groups of people who wouldn't learn from a bad day, but I think this group is different

A couple of poor performances against Newport and Bury will be an incentive to always go into games with the same level of committment as we have been doing in our home games, as well as the games where we did play well away from home

If we do get beat, like we did at Scunthorpe, then at least we can say that it wasn't down to a poor performance!!!

Yup, thats was a poor performance..BUT....

Luke James still nearly saved the day at the death, and we won't be playing on a surface as bad as that again this season, not even in February.

I just wish we'd got some sort of challenge in on Nardiello...he seemed to run a hell of a way with the ball without a foot going in.

would have probably been a comfortable boring point if it wasn't for him

Typical that he goes on loan there like that

I had a feeling we would struggle without Monkhouse, he is involved of a hell of a lot of play, not just his headers. Was hoping we would pass it out from the back more without him playing but doesnt sound that way.

Monkhouse for Franks on Saturday and another home win.
