Didn't think it was a pen at the time but seeing it on TV tonight looked like one.

As for Northampton they are a club I wouldn't miss if they went out of the league and never returned, do nothing for me as a club or a town to visit.

Poole was moving at pace so was hard to spot the foul live, I until I saw it on the Football League show though it was for the second challenge. Definate penalty.

Im the opposite, at the time I was screaming at the ref for a penalty and for a sending off. Having watched it back, its not as clear cut imo.

Those match reports are still utter tripe regardless.

Hi there. Cobblers fan in peace. Read some of the stuff after the match and got to say was sour grapes. I went to the game and we got out played...simple as. Anyway found this article from our end which is a bit more fair.

http://www.northampton-news-hp.co.uk/Sport/Cobblers/Gripped-by-the-Cobblers-The-Tom-Reed-column-Defeat-at-Hartlepool-United-20131126101152.htm

Good luck with the rest of the season hopefully we can stop up.

the guy is deliberately misleading his readership. Last season at times I witnessed some of the worst ever performances by a Hartlepool team, one after another... but at least the local journalist told it like it was!!! The club weren't happy with him, but to me that makes him good at his job. He has now got a better job for himself working in London.... maybe the Northampton reporter could take a leaf out of Craig Hope's book!!!! He might be taken seriously then !!!!!

don't forget, what he says will influence your fans to an extent... and I think potentially influencing fans into wanting the club to hang onto a manager who isn't going to save your league status, is a massive disservice to the Northampton public. Just my opinion like

Wouldn't get your knickers in a twist about Jefferson Lake. His heart is in the right place but seems to think an awful lot of himself. Black and white photo on twitter like he's in the Independent or something what's that all about! On our forum there are quite a few complimentary posts about youre style of play. Not all that unsporting.

His heart is in the right place but his head is up his arse. This hampers his assessment of football matches.

And he is a dick with a name that sounds like a Californian super group from 1973.

'Bleak Termini' 'Not the most glamorous of clubs'

When I think glamour, I think Norrhampton.

Lol...The rest of it is quite fair though I think. I agree that the ball from your lad (forget his name) was not a punt but quite accurate. James looks very good can we buy him for 50k and bring him down here for a more glamorous lifestyle
