An absolutely laughable decision in keeping with modern day football and refereeing.

How the hell can that be a red card and the one on Suarez wasn't?

certainly was red carded, I still can't see where he is supposed to have Charlie Adam high, or caught him at all as Mark Hughes claimed he did

Isn't there a Blunderland chat room you can discuss this on?

Poor decision.

But I will say this again, as some of you clearly dont understand the context its meant to be taken, if a player dives in and goes to ground, he risks it looking a bad tackle. Thats the way the game is now. If you dont like it, or cant accept it, then take up watching Rugby.

So a ref sees a player diving in, and gets one split second view of it. It probably looked bad to him from his angle.

But I keep coming back to the same point:

What was he gaining by diving in like that? Was it a goalscoring opportunity? Did he create a chance for another player?

Go and see any FA, UEFA coaching course these days, and you will see them telling everyone to stay on your feet.

Its easy.

But I agree, that was a poor red card. Very poor.

How is that a red card, as joe says the tackle on Suarez was way worse. Brown gets the ball. That ref is the 1 who deserves a ban

From what I saw of the match last night, the Stoke goalkeeper was more deserving of a sending off, for the way he came flying out of his area with foot up and studs showing.

he's another dickhead who keeps getting managers jobs, and he is shite. Rubbish, clueless and useless, not to mention very poor, as a manager

I've only seen Mr Fensy's clip there, but it looked to me like Charlie Adam didn't even go down. He jumped over the tackle. Looks to me like he took the ball cleanly.

Probably more of this 'what might have happened' bollocks.

Ref got that wrong, he probably knew that himself before the game finished. What makes it worse was it was the kind of tackle fans like to see in a game, the type of tackle that rarely happens these days. The only thing I would say in the refs defence was that it was a little IMO aggressive and possibly could of constituted a yellow been shown but definitely not a red. Its easy to look at action replays though, different in the heat of the battle, there would of been a lot going on in that game off camera that we wouldnt of been aware of that could of influenced the refs decision
